You do know that Knuckleballers can pitch ANYTIME. Hell the more their arms are tired the better they pitch! At least in theory. There's been games back in the day where a knuckler's started both ends of a Double header.

But yeah the Sox are gonna lose.

He can't pitch another great game for the 3rd time in a row. At least I hope not. But Burkett had a good game against the Yanks this year, which was a shocker since we own him.

Even if they pitch someone else, Burkett, Pedro or someone else I would have Wakefield as my go to guy in the bullpen. No more Timlin or Embree make Wakefield the go-to-guy if when the Sox go to the bullpen

I'd rather take my chances with Wakefield than Burkett. Man, he's gotta come up HUGE in tomorrow's game. Any possibility of a rainout???

Wow, the Sox couldn't take Wells. I thought for sure the Sox would take a 3 games to 2 lead into New York only to blow it in the end. Now it looks as if they'll go quietly in six games. Pettitte versus Burkett is a brutal match-up, but who would've thought Wakefield would be able to beat Mussina twice in one series?
