Shannon Stewert would be able to play center and lead off, I like it. But ya'know the more I think about it, the less I like the Soriano, Johnson for Vazquez trade. Yes Vazquez is an amazing player but why trade Soriano who is young and just needs a new batting coach, and Johnson who grows on me ever game I see him play. Matsui, Stewert, Vlad outfeild. give soriano one more shot at 2B. could NJ PLAY THIRD? Jeter at SS, Giambi at first, and of course Posada at C. Bernie DHs. If Jphnsp cant or wont play 3rd they this wont work. As for pitching once again the bullpen is a big issue here. Karsay, Rivera and who else!?! Pette, Mussina, Contreras, Leiber and Colon is they want to try for him. But part of me doubts that Vlad will sign. this the last time I am posting it: Pettie is our NUMBER 1 priority this offseason.

And Vazquez is exactly what they need; a young potential ace. It would be risky to deal Soriano, but for that in return, you might have to do it.

i guess we migt have to but I wish we could keep johnson. And still tink Stewart would be a greatr addition. i forgot about vidro wich would fill a hole at 2B but it is very risky. I just dont want to give up on soriano yet. Look ow tis year, it was te homegrown guys would came trough when they needed it. That is wy we need to keep soriano and johnson tey COULD be our core for the future. What ever they do I will be psyched about next year.wit Vazquez on board we wouldnt add colon or whoever. so if the trade does go down. then some things would fall into place. Stewert, Matsui, Vlad outfeild, jeter - SS, vidro - 2b, giambi - 1b, posada - C, bernie - Dh. All we need is a 3baseman to replace boone, perhaps Lowell.

But we might not get any new outfeilders. flip Bernie and Matsui, Soriano in RF. Giambi DH, Johson - 1b, Lowell - 3b, Castillo or Kaz at 2b.there are a billion different possibilities and I think they will make the right choice.
