    Wasn't Craig Nettles a left-handed third baseman?

Edit: My bad, I looked it up, he batted left, but threw right.

I don't understand why the Yankees would be so down on Soriano. Yes, he struggled this offseason. Yes, he does not have good plate discipline. But the fact of the matter is, the guy is playing out of position (2B) and still manages to put up 40-40 type numbers. And Nick Johnson is going to be a very good, very consistent player for a long time in this league. Vazquez is great and Vidro is very good, but the Expos couldn't afford either of them when FA arrives. I would really like this deal for the Expos. If they do this deal, Montreal might be able to re-sign Vlad, too.

ARod a Cub? Now that would make me wet myself. My question is what the hell would you trade for a $22 million a year and best player in baseball? ARod isn't going anywhere.

I read that article, and he says he is unhappy in Texas and wants to play for NY,Boston, or Chicago... but the funny thing is, is the author just recommended The Boss gets him. No where did he mention how, or that a $22 mill. p/year SS is the least of our priorities.

ARod a Cub? Now that would make me wet myself. My question is what the hell would you trade for a $22 million a year and best player in baseball? ARod isn't going anywhere.

Pitching, pitching, and more pitching. You could start with Prior.

Prior is DEFINITELY off limits. There's no way you trade a young, cheap, dominant pitcher for anyone... especially someone that costs 22 mill.

i just read about a trade of Johnson and Weaver for Vazquez. I would like that more than the other one. Soriano Matsui and a FA in outfeild, we would need to pick up Kaz and Lowell to fill out the other positions. Bernie would have to DH. and Colon could still be an option in case Leiber isnt ready or to sure up the bullpen with Contreras. The yankees with a starting rotation with Andy, Moose, Vazquez, Colon, and Lieber or Contreras would be devastating.
