I'm not a Ranger fan, but I don't think they will be all that bad. Their offense is solid- they will score runs. Aside from ARod, Blalock and Teixeira are studs, Nix looks to be a solid player and Young is a solid second baseman. Fullmer is a decent first baseman. The staff is shaky, but the pen is solid with Nelson and Cordero and maybe Zimmerman. If they could get a decent starter, they might be okay...

<hr /></blockquote><font class="post"> The problem is starting pitching, they can't get a decent quality start from them. It would be nice for Zimmerman to actually throw an innning this year for the cash he's being paid. Don't get me started on Chan Ho. Of course, scoring runs has not been the problem. They are supposed to be developing their young arms due to the fact that no free agent wants to come pitch at The Ballpark.

I guess we will have some bright spots this year, besides the offense.

Who knows, Jaun Dominguez might be good. Ricardo Rodriguez might be ok if he doesn't get injured.

and there's the stud with no ligament, r.a. dickey. He'll be fun to watch.

                  That's being very optimistic.

Re: Jeff Nelson signing for Texas.

                        The Rangers probable starting rotation:

                        Chan Ho Park
                        Kenny Rogers
                        Colby Lewis
                        Joaquin Benoit
                        Ryan Drese,R.A. Dickey

not the best rotation they have ever had, but if healthy, could be better than last years.

The best thing the Rangers could do is fire John Hart, he has done nothing for the team, they have not had a winning record since he took over as GM,
so i say fire Hart and hire Jim Bowden.

I think their stadium is just too small.
