I applaud your enthusiasm, but you had a chance to get one of the best players in the game for a basement price. You missed the boat big time. Fred Wilpon is no Doubleday. He doesn't have his pockets to work with. And another thing, this move will only makes us even more richer/popular. We can market Arod all over the network. We got the best player in the game. Even if he wasn't marketable, we have an owner who doesn't pocket the profits and will spend most of his money to win and put people in seats.
One more note, this year when it seemed we're going to fade away, what's with the losses of three "big-game" pitchers, we sold 2 million tickets in just a matter of 21 days. That's with the hikes of ticket prices.
Yeah, we're certainly cashing ourselves out.
" I look at him and it's getting to the point where it's just scaring me. He looks younger but he doesn't carry himself in a younger manner. He's impressive, and I'm glad we drafted him. "
      - Lavar Arrington on his new Redskins teammate Sean Taylor.

Will this move put the Yankees way over 200 million? They have got to lap whatever it is their closest competitor spends on their team. No half-assing it.
