It's very tough to call anyone with 7 no-hitters and who consistantly hit 100mph overrated.Comment

Very true. I'm just saying, he was a very dominant pitcher in his prime, and it`s hard to go against everything he accomplished.
Pedro is one of my favorite pitchers of all time, so I won`t argue over who is better. If we were going on wrestling w/ the Yankee coaches statistics, Pedro definately has the edge.Comment

No, not by any means. This topic has been discussed to death on many baseball forums and many say that Nolan Ryan is overrated.
His W/L record is terrible (although he did pitch for very mediocre teams). However, the most telling stat I saw was the comparison of his ERA to the League ERA. On many instances his ERA was higher than the league ERA.
In any case, his strikeout record is impressive, but the K is an overrated stat in itself. Most pitchers would rather have a 1 pitch groundout instead of a K (obviously depends on the situation).
IMO, Nolan Ryan is overrated. A very good pitcher, but overrated nonetheless....
Back on topic:
Walter Johnson
Cy Young (who also has a TON of losses)
Christy Mathewson
Warren Spahn
All great pitchers....Comment
