Brad Penny was on my high school team. He attracted a lot of scouts to our games. Too bad they weren't watching me. My grandpa also played against Mickey Mantle in high school. A lot of good players have come out of Oklahoma over the years.

In high school, I played against Jimmy Rollins, Aaron Miles (Rockies) and Matt Riley (pitcher-Baltimore). They are the only ones who have reached the majors, to my knowledge.

I also played against some other guys who were drafted, but didn't or haven't reached the bigs, including:

-Manuel Bermudez (pitcher drafted by the Giants)
-Jon Hamilton (pitched in high school, drafted by Cleveland as an Outfielder)
-Scott Harrison (pitcher drafted by Cleveland)
-Phill Lowery (pitcher-drafted by Cleveland, but went to Arizona St. instead)

I also played against Billy Cockerham, who was a pretty crappy baseball player, but ended up being a decent QB at the University of Minnesota.

Cool , so you guys all played College baseball ?
For myself , I played against Last year Cy Young Award winner Eric Gagné , ( I am from Montreal ) ,
He was playing for the Repentigny Royals of the Elite Junior League ( we don't have college baseball here ) . He was good , but not dominant , you could see he had potential , but he wasn't overpowering .

( I played against more NHL players then Major leaguer though ...)

I played against Eric Dubose in Little League, in Alabama. He was a huge lefty, and clearly the best player in our league. He now pitches for the Baltimore Orioles.
