    The Twins are done.

I don't see why they were such a popular pick before the playoffs start.. I just don't.

I mean, how many times have they beaten the Yankees the last four years?

The Twins have their ace, Santana, on the mound for Game 4. The last thing the Yankees want, is for this series to go back to New York tied at 2. Anything can happen in a one game playoff.

Santana has been as close as you can get to a sure thing this year. He's due for a letdown, and I think we'll see it in game 4.

Yankees will be heading back to New York, but it'll be the Red Sox waiting for them, not the Twins.

I think the play of Johan Santana this year should not only net him Cy Young but AL MVP.

The Twins never really impressed me this year, or last year, to be honest. They just play in a weak division. Without him, though.. I'd say the Twins would lose 92 games instead of win 92 games.

They were a popular pick before the playoffs to win the whole thing, but they just haven't been able to beat the Yankees enough the last few years to convince me they have a shot outside of Santana. Compared to last years Marlins? I'd say the Marlins were a far better team.. they just seem to do everything better.. except for Santana, of course.

I'm happy with the win, though I still have no idea why Torre seems to like Heredia. If you really need a lefty on the roster, just replace Heredia with Giambi, and have him throw left handed. The drop off wouldn't be that much, and you'd have a big bat off the bench.

It was a good win, but the series is far from over. This was a more important game for the Yankees than the Twins. Vazquez vs. Santana in Minnesota is not a favorable pitching matchup. I'd be shocked if the Yankees win tommorrow, but you never know. It would be good to get it over with though, so the pitching can get setup right for Boston. That, and you don't want to play a game 5 when you had a chance to close it out already.

Well I dont think he should win the MVP. Cy Young yes but not MVP. A pitcher should never win MVP. Thats why they have have the CY Young, its the pitchers award. You onlly go out every 5th day. This year there are 3 guys, 1 from NY and 2 from Boston who should finish 1,2,and 3.

As for the series, another big win in what was a must win for NY. You dont want to be down 2-1 and facing Santana. Of course he is coming on 3 days rest and the Yanks are 8-3 against pitchers going on the short rest. Of course one of those losses was to Beckett last year. But, Santana is doing this for the first time ever and its in the most pressure packed game he has ever been involved in. This sets the stage for another NY-Bosox ALCS.
