We've had it wrong all these years. If you just stay at the plate after strike 3, you can continue batting. And you all thought you knew baseball.

This pitch broke umpscorecard. They cant even analyze the pitch.

    And this randomly happened too

Non traditional move by Showalter bringing in Edwin Diaz to pitch the 8th against Atlanta’s 2,3,4 hitters

Diaz is electric right now. I don’t think Buck let’s him pitch the 9th.

Citi field has an October feel to it.

                  What a day for Merrifield.

First time talking to the media since being traded to the city he said he'd only get vaccinated if he played there in the playoffs.

He announces he'll be in Toronto next Thursday (when they come back home), which means he's vaccinated. And then goes out and goes 2 for 4 with what could wind up the game winning RBI.

Cardinals take care of business and sweep the Cubs.

Jays get out of a bases loaded jam in bottom of 9 with only 1 out.

Top of 10th, they now have bases loaded with 1 out and do nothing.

Tigers walked 13 Rays tonight, yikes, club record for Tampa

converted starter Bryan Garcia, the 2020 Tigers rookie of the year, was DFA'd immediately lol

                                fun stats

Garcia is the first Tigers starter to walk six batters in a scoreless start lasting four or fewer innings since Tommy Bridges did it in a 4-2 win against the Philadelphia A’s on July 28, 1932.

Only two other pitchers have done it in the 21st century, one at Comerica Park. Shohei Ohtani of the Los Angeles Angels did it on April 20, 2021, walking six and striking out seven in a 6-2 win against the Texas Rangers, and Sean Gallagher did it for the Cincinnati Reds on Sept. 10, 2008 against the Tigers.
detroit actually had the lead in the 8th after already walking 10

edit: quick correction, he was optioned back down, not DFA'd
