    Giants

The Giants have asked MLB to allow Barry Bonds to play as a DH during spring training against NL teams. So he can gets some AB's and not have to play the field.

No word from MLB as of yet.

    Re: Barry's way???

I think, in spring training, any team should be able to use a DH if they feel it is best for their team.

I think that the DH, and any memory of it, should be vanquished from the game altogether. And this is from a guy who used to like it. Pitchers should hit, and hitters should play the field. Period.

It's spring training, who cares, MLB allowed the Reds to do it for Griffey.

I'm against it. However if they did allow Griffey to do it, then anybody should be able to. There shouldn't be a double standard. But I'd rather nobody did.

I think he should, and any other teams wanting to have dh's during spring training should be allowed to as well, as long as both teams agree to it in a game.

                    It wouldn't make any difference.

Exactly. It's win-win all the way around. Hell, makes all ST games use a DH for all I care. It's not like there is going to be an abundance of pitchers hitting anyways, almost everyone is going to get hit for anyways. Why not just eliminate it from the equation all together.

Not against the Pirates. The Pirates aren't going to allow Griffey to DH against them.
