Re: Telvised Games thread 1/18 thru 1/24
I'd love to hear an explanation from the ref. Very strange.
It was definitely a violation, but with the way everyone on the court was acting, it's like they didn't expect the ball to be live for some reason, so maybe the ball wasn't live, and that's why it wasn't a violation.

Does anyone think they can figure out the rest of the nation after the Top 5? I feel confident putting my trust in Kansas, Texas, Kentucky, Syracuse and Villanova but after that I just get really confused; maybe Kansas State, but I hesitate on that.

I actually think Syracuse and Villanova are a part of the pack. They're not in the same tier as the other three.Does anyone think they can figure out the rest of the nation after the Top 5? Re: Telvised Games thread 1/18 thru 1/24
I'm sorry I should have been more clear in what I said. I think the top tier is: Kansas, Kentucky, Texas and then I think there is a next tier of Syracuse and Villanova, in which it wouldn't surprise me if they played good enough to join that top tier. Basically those 5 teams, I feel comfortable making a leap of faith ( in regards to a deep run in the tournament if it started today). Everyone else I just can't seem to make that same leap of faith with.

Oh yeah that's definitely legit. For me personally, after the top three I have a massive group of Duke, Syracuse, Villanova, West Virginia, Michigan State, Kansas State, and Purdue. Some combination of those seven plus the other three will make up the Elite Eight, and I'd be surprised if any of them didn't make the Sweet 16. I feel Tennessee, Pittsburgh, Gonzaga, BYU, and Georgetown are riding a little high right now and might be weeded down a little bit as conference play progresses.I'm sorry I should have been more clear in what I said. Not that I condone the chants, but you become the "bitch" of the other team when you do something like that in a road game. Something like that is not needed. I know you've been to a college basketball game before. You do something like that, the crowd is after you the whole game. Just put up the flush the normal way and go on your way.
For the record, I love Evan Turner and I wish he could go to the Knicks.
Good win for WVU. We needed that in the worst way.Comment

There is a difference between "becoming the bitch" and the fans chanting "**** you Turner". Just is a really trashy thing for those people to do and only further destroys the WVU fan base. Not that I condone the chants, but you become the "bitch" of the other team when you do something like that in a road game.
