    That's a fair point then.

As long as you either call both or call neither, then it's fine. You can't call the foul on Butler and then turn around and not call it on Pitt.

I'm not some massive Pitt ***** either. I had them in the FF. But it was worth it to watch this classic game.

I applaud the refs for calling fouls no matter with how much time is left on the clock. That would never happen in the NBA. Reason #312 I like the college game better.

Didn't you guys know Pitt goes to the Sweet 16/Elite 8 every year then loses?

This KSU/Wisc game is higher scoring than I expected it to be. So far anyways.

Youve got Mack running his mouth in the guys ear, youve got Howard and his overacting on that ridiculous full court heave, I just cant stand that team and Im not even a Pitt fan.
The overreacting on the full court heave is irrelevant. If that had made a difference he'd have been shooting three FTs instead of two.

Bottom line, those were both fouls that you just have to call. It's not the officials' fault that those were two of the most idiotic fouls committed in NCAA tournament history. But....they were fouls and you can't let teams just play animal ball in the final seconds of a tournament game.

Someone literally grabbing and locking up someone's arm on a rebound is a foul that would be called 100/100 times.

The dude obviously thought they were down one and needed an immediate foul. You guys need to set aside your Butler hate and realize the refs made the correct calls.

I should have known better than to pick Pitt to make the Final Four. They find a way to lose every single year.

And those were both clearly fouls, the blame should be on the players for making incredibly dumb plays not the refs.

It was a great game but that was some of the worst officiating to end a game ever, the Mack foul was questionable (it was a foul but to call it at that point of the game), but to call a foul and send Howard to the line there, that was disgusting.

Great game ruined by horrible officiating, you do not call a foul like that at the end of a game 90+feet away from the basket.

Horrible, and I was pulling for Butler to win.
So the final moments of a game are essentially foul-free periods where fouls should never be called?

I think both calls were obvious. Mack was clearly blocking the path of the Pitt shooter and Brown was draped all over Howard's shoulder.

We keep talking about the officials but what about the Pitt player that fouled Howard?

How do you not know the situation there? He went after Howard like he thought they were down 1 and not tied.

Both fouls were pretty obvious. It's mind-boggling how the players could play with so little composure in the last few minutes.

Yeah I hadn't even thought about that aspect of it.

Once again ignore my posts in the heat of the moment.

If thats the case absolutely mental lapse on Pitt, but that makes sense, otherwise I can't understand why he would do that, but yeah makes sense.
