    Re: Improvements for 2k15 , confirmed ?

The problem with 2k right now is the fact that they spend too much time on modes that suck.

Myplayer suck, the story is corny and childish. They spend months creating cutscenes for it instead they could have used those months to fix defense, foot planting, rebounds and all the other things that are not working right now on the court.

The number of people that are mad this year is unbelievable, just type "nba2k14 suck" on google and you will see for yourself.
2k is trying too hard to appeal to kids to make money, and they sure know these kids don't know better.

Just stay true and don't sell yourself short just for a couple of do.

That's why their game is broken and feel unfinished. If they share some information early people could actually give them some feedbacks on whats working and etc. Many studios are sharing some info early just to get a response from the gamers it's crucial.
The best example for a studio to do if they care about their game and want it to be good is what Hideo Kojima has done with MGS 5 Ground Zero and the phantom pain trailer. People are playing Ground Zero and after they go give them some feedbacks that they will use to improve the phantom pain.

So 2k should allow gamers to pay $20-30 for a demo so that the gamers can give feedback?

No its not about the 20$ I'm talking about lol. But it will be beneficial for them to share some information so we can give them some feedbacks.
Ground Zero was just an example where people could play and give feedbacks, it was overpriced for sure. They all greedy anyway, 20$ demo, 2k VC implemented everywhere lol.

As far as defense is concerned. Have you guys ever thought about, or talked about, or ever plan to put defensive philosophies in the game. Having one for each team would probably help illiminate complaints about zone or teammates just inexplicably leaving their man or whatever else. Maybe having a consistency attribute or something along those lines, for each team as a whole could help as well, that way we don't have every team holding every team to 90 or less.

I just want to have the freedom to customize/edit. I wish we could customize classic and present day NBA courts.

Probably not gonna buy 2k for a year or two

The defensive gameplay is fundamentally bad on an AI front

Your teammates are bad on rotation defense, onball perimeter defense by teammates is horrid as they get blown by with ease, no option to tell players how to react on screens so the CPU just calls picks and has a free lane to the basket etc

I expect more superficial fluff about more cutscenes in MyPlayer, better graphics etc so that the game LOOKS more realistic but very few things on how the game PLAYS more realistic just like last year where all we heard on the gameplay front was "footplanting" and blocking (which is still not where it should be)

I don't think 2k could possibly fix all/most of the core gameplay issues in 8 months looking at where their focuses seem to lie

                              Re: Improvements for 2k15 , confirmed ?

Remember when 2K attempted to "fix" cherry picking in NBA 2K3, and everyone would bobble passes? How about when they attempted to "fix" hop-steps and spin dunks? Usually, they don't hit a home run the first time. I have a feeling I'll have a similar experience with NBA 2K15.

I'm a bit perplexed at what a logical solution to fixing 1-3-1 is. I dunno, the wings and corners are left fairly open, and the defensive user generally attempts to load up the strong side, attempting to cut off any obvious passing lane to the weak side. I do believe closing out on corner threes is a bit easier for whatever reason. Is the court too small? Are the player models too large?

However, I don't want to see some sort of reduction in a player's or team's defensive awareness in order to gimp zone defense. I tend to load up on the strong side, regardless if I'm playing man or zone-defense. I want to encourage opposing players to pass the ball, generally outside the hands of their best players. I'll be frustrated if this becomes much more of a hassle.

If you're talking about offline play against the CPU, the correct slider set will fix all of these problems. The one I'm currently working on is specifically focusing on these issues, and I'm sure other slider sets have done the same.

The game has it's flaws, sure, but this is honestly the LEAST "unfixable" iteration of 2k in the last few years IMO.
