I agree as well and my decision on whether or not to purchase the game may hinge on whether this issue will be addressed.

Does the regression increase/decrease based on statistics of the player over the course of the year(s)?

@drew. No, sir statistics have zero effect on progression/regression.

Re: MyLeague Regression - (Because the issue should not be forgotten)

I already wrote my simple and stupid thought in another thread, but I repeat it here. Unfortunately I think that the problem is much more serious than expected and I'm not at all confident that is resolved in nba2k15, because I do not think that it is fixable via patch. But somewhere, in the script of the game there must be a string where programmers have written that at age 27 begins the process of regression, it would probably be sufficient to correct this written (with a small patch) changing the age of regression from 27 years to 33 or 34 years, certainly not solve the problem, but it would make the game playable.

Still no response from them . . . pathetic. Pathetic to completely mislead and misrepresent your customers, telling them how great your MyLeague mode is, promoting it heavily, and then leaving them high and dry when it doesn't work.

Exactly. Someone from 2K could at least just respond instead of leaving us all in the wind. No way somebody on the dev team doesn't know about this. smh

Re: MyLeague Regression - (Because the issue should not be forgotten)

Let me start off by Saying this REGRESSION Issue SUCKS. It has stopped me from doing a Normal NBA Roster for NBA 2k15. There are a few Tedious workarounds that I have mentioned before and I will mention again for those who havent seen them. They need to be done together for it to work properly.

                Workaround Combo

                - Edit BOTH Age and Years Pro(Make all YEAR 1). I recommend doing it at the END of the Playoffs, so you dont forget.

                MyLeague Solution WITHOUT the Workaround

The only thing i have found is to make a Roster with Euroleague Players, NBA Rookies and CAPs. Most of the EuroLeague guys are Year 1 players. Make sure ALL CAPs are Year 1 and I would recommend making them ALL 19 years old to Maximize time before Regression Bug hits.

Lack of Response to REGRESSION Issue

I think this falls under 2 things.

                1. The guys on the Board dont have the Freedom to talk about it OR are not involved in that aspect of the Game.

                2. It can't be addressed without a MAJOR Overhaul, and 2k16 is already underway with Development, so I just Dont see them be able to fix this with 2k15.

Re: MyLeague Regression - (Because the issue should not be forgotten)

                  I'll ask again:

Has anyone tried increasing the potential of players ages 28 and over to see what that does? I know people have messed with ages and sliders but what about the potential rating?

The reason I ask is because guys like Lebron and Durant and a few other superstars seem immune based on some testing I've read about.

Maybe it's my OCD, but changing years played just doesn't work for me as a workaround when Lebron/KD/AD win every rookie of the year afterwards.

As others have repeated, this is a game killer for me, and I feel deceived after the press RE: MyLeague. I won't wait for 2k16; honestly I don't know that I'll bother again.

Yes the AWARDs ticks me off as well, which is why i am working on a Non-NBA Roster for MyLeague. ONLY Viable Solution I could come up with.

This. The only way I see myself getting 2K16 is after the SimWorld crew has ran through it and is confirmed by them that regression is no longer a game killer. Certainly won't be trusting Leftos and the 2K Cheer Squad again. Damn shame that it looks like 2K15 is nothing more than a $60 coaster for us hardcore franchise guys.

you can always switch them back from Years pro 1 anytime before the awards are given out.

I think this deserves a look.. I don't know if it would make a difference though. I've had players that were A potential at 25 years old and a 80 rating.. They would never get better past age 28 so the potential was never reached.

It was one of the first things tried and it did nothing. VTCRB posted it in the testing thread earlier today.

Nah you can't - it makes the game recognize them as rookies regardless the instant you do it and save the change.

Plus, editing doesn't help MyGM or My Career as you cannot edit (sigh).
