Progression is fine...REGRESSION is the issue. If you raise the progression slider too high players will be reaching their peak potential around year 2 and 3.SimWorld NBA 2K19 Fictional Draft Classes

Re: MyLeague Regression - (Because the issue should not be forgotten)
Anyone experiencing this problem using the 2K Default rosters? I just simmed 5 years into the future, and I'm really not seeing this problem at all.
Plenty of guys ages 28-34 in the high 70's to 90's range ratings wise. I thought I would sim this far into the future and see an NBA ravaged by generated draft players, and less than stellar original NBA stars, and that's simply not the case.
Not saying all of you guys aren't experiencing an issue, but using the 2K default rosters, I'm getting fantastic results. Especially with the new ratings curve, everything looks good here on my end.Comment

Re: MyLeague Regression - (Because the issue should not be forgotten)
Could you theoretically counter the regression by increasing the progression rate slider? Ratings would be somewhat inflated but once the regression kicks in it balances the ratings more than it tanks the players?[NYK|DAL|VT]

Re: MyLeague Regression - (Because the issue should not be forgotten)
i literally just checked right now. as soon as you change a player's years pro from 1 to 2, the game will no longer consider them a rookie.Comment

All I use is 2k rosters. I never use custom roster and yes it is a big big problem with 2k rosters. I don't think it matter what rosters you use. With 2k rosters by year 3 the amont of guys 30 or older went down by like 50% sever times. In real life about 18% of players are 30 or older. By year 3 in simulations I was see like 9% at 30 or older and not only that but after year one in sever simulations the only guys 30-31 that didn't go down where james, Carmelo and chris paul ever other player 30-31 went down and most by 4-6 points so I have no clue how you can say you don't see this.Comment

Are you looking at the progression screen during the offseason?Comment

Re: MyLeague Regression - (Because the issue should not be forgotten)
In that case we have a legit workaround? I mean I haven't tested how the regression works with all years at 1 but all I read on here sounded fine.Spending time with Jesus!

Re: MyLeague Regression - (Because the issue should not be forgotten)
Has anyone tested for results with PROGRESSION tuned DOWN? My only idea behind this is that if Progression is set lower, guys won't reach their potentials until later (late 20s/early 30s). If regression is coded to players age it may not matter, but perhaps slowing the rate of progression would delay the regression? Just spitballing here...Comment

Re: MyLeague Regression - (Because the issue should not be forgotten)
this is probably the best workaround.
That's the thing, it is. The game also uses years pro as a way of detecting whether players should regress (because no one really regresses after their rookie season.. except maybe Mayo). Scaling years pro back to 1 or a player's age back to 27 are the ways to work around the issue.Has anyone tested for results with PROGRESSION tuned DOWN?
