The park system needs to be redone. The SFs aren't even a top 10 reason the park is bad.

I'd tend to agree. The idea is cool and all, but the execution is rather poor.

I agree with the people that like the Playstyle with caps. Choose a playstyle before you begin your career. Athletic slasher, 3 and D, Athletic playmaker or playmaking shooter, Rebounding defensive C, etc etc. This would make the rec center a lot more balanced especially if they fix the zig zag cheese.Comment

I agree, in addition to the playstyles I think they need to bring ball handling in tiers like in NBA 2K10 where you had access to specific dribbling moves based on ratings and position.I agree with the people that like the Playstyle with caps. There's almost no consequences with these guys as far as physical abilities are concerned. They seem to have just as good of ball control as PGs have and can shoot just as good as SGs can and can rebound anything in site with 40 inch verticals.

Re: So making a 7 ft. SF is the way to go for MyPark in 2k16?
I think a My Career mode player's attributes should not be associated with Park. I want to see people earn their overall ratings. VC wouldn't influence your rating and you can only level up by acquiring experience points from playing My Park games.
Rookies, Veterans and All-Stars
I think everyone should start at a 65 overall and you can only have a max number of badges based on your player rating. You would still be considered a Rookie until you reach a 75 overall rating or play a certain amount of games (Only because some people would abuse this system), but until then, you would keep facing Rookie Level talent. Overall ratings of 85 or more would be reserved for All-Star talent. There will also be a competitive court where anyone can play any rating, but experience points are more rewarding when defeating a superior opponent. The superior opponents rankings would drop SEVERELY if they lose.
A CAP Limit is definitely needed for each position. That goes for Height and Weight. There needs to be rules and regulation. It's bad enough people are cheesing, making Shaq like players with handles and 3's. C'mon man!!!! If a player some how "Breaks" out of a CAP Limit then his Created Player will be forfeited. There will be some type of detection system on 2K's part to monitor this.

Re: So making a 7 ft. SF is the way to go for MyPark in 2k16?
Their job is to make money and put out a good product. I highly doubt they would rather put out the best product ever made and suffer a hit to sales/microtransactions.
Are there some companies that do that? Yep!
Is 2K going to be that next company? I don't think so. I believe they have the talent to make 2K the most sim game and go super in depth, but why should they? When I turned on NBA 2K and saw 2K TV I saw a bunch of insane alley oops and crazy plays. That's why people want to play. They don't think about a nice bounce pass or making the extra pass. It's not about fundamentals to the average player, it's about the highlights.
That's just my take on why 2K will continue to have a "good" game, but not take it to great.SOS Madden League (PS4) | League Archives

Defense is a bigger issue in all online modes especially park. I have a 7ft 3, maxed defensive /rebounding center and my player repeatedly gets dunked on with ease due to canned animations . I try to jump to contest and get sucked into a animation where my big gets posterized. What's the point of defensive bigs again????

Re: So making a 7 ft. SF is the way to go for MyPark in 2k16?
We also have to remember that this is a game made for entertainment first. Most people play games to escape and have a little mindless fun. I'm reminded of the first time I played MLB The Show. It's a great game, but it was too sim for me. It was boring. I had to arcade it up a bit. I wanted more homeruns, steals, and high scoring games. That's the other side of the coin. 2K does a good job of providing us tools to tune our offline experience. Online is another matter, entirely. I understand it. It doesn't make me mad, I just avoid it. Maybe "sim" lobbies with user adjusted sliders could make everyone happy. I imagine an OS lobby would be sim to the core.Their job is to make money and put out a good product. Man I just want it back in the old days where you started out as like a 46 and you were God awful, that was so Grindy and the most fun I've ever had with 2K.
Too much flash not enough substance these days.

Re: So making a 7 ft. SF is the way to go for MyPark in 2k16?
I think that's what really gets people; right now there sort of is a system is place that might work with Park and Rec Center. We also have to remember that this is a game made for entertainment first. Most people play games to escape and have a little mindless fun. I'm reminded of the first time I played MLB The Show. It's a great game, but it was too sim for me. It was boring. If Park played like it did now, and Rec was set up to be more realistic I think most people would be ok with that. Street ball you kind of expect people to show out with crazy highlight plays,so that would be there for people who enjoy that experience.
However, the problem is the play essentially the same, the only real difference from a gameplay perspective being Rec center has 5 on 5 and fouling works in the more traditional manner.
You hit it on the head when basically saying its a 2 sided coin....the issue seeming to be that people on the more sim side feel that they have been completely disenfranchised from the online My Player experience is favor of those who like a more arcade-ish style.
If you ask me, in the end there's nothing wrong with preferring one style over the other, to basically make people who like either style feel left out of certain experiences through a lack of choices though...that's just lousy.Comment

Re: So making a 7 ft. SF is the way to go for MyPark in 2k16?
I definitely think park should be the more "arcade" version of 2K, while Rec and/or Crew (if in 2K16) is sim.
Now I still think they need to do more defensively so zig zags and other exploits aren't so strong, because regardless of the Park being more arcadey it still shouldn't be cheesy.
Also, if people really want arcade basketball that bad go play the cpu with your sliders up...I doubt that 2K will lose sales over making the game play the right way.
All their sales come from VC (MyTeam, MyPlayer) and they're never gonna let us grind again...
I too enjoyed being a terrible rookie avoiding the d league and being the 12th man as a 50 overall scrub. Cuz once I was a 90 I know I earned. But everyone wants instant gratification so being able to buy your overall is here to stay.I don't wanna be Jordan, I don't wanna be Bird or Isiah, I don't wanna be any of those guys.
I want to look in the mirror and say I did it my way.
