Speaking of this, can we get some new camera views for 2K16? We've been using the same camera views for years now & I think it's about time to get some new ones. Even if they don't add new ones, can we at leat get some revisions to the ones we have? For example, I would love to use the Perimeter cam if it had an Auto flip option. They need to make Auto flip in option for EVERY camera view! I also like the Drive cam but I hate how the camera rotates & centers directly on the rim right after you release your shot. The camera should stay locked on the ball until the ball goes in or hits the rim. The way they have it set up now is too disorienting, however I would like to use this cam if they fixed it because I like the on court feel it gives you.

Re: What camera view was this game best created for???
Way back in the days Broadcast camera view was considered the "sim" camera. Not sure where it came from but that was the unwritten standard. Its been erased since then but a lot of older sim cats rock broadcast just because of that haha.
I personally started using Broadcast in 2k8 because it had a more realistic feel. It also forces me to play team ball and smother my urge to want to iso and dribble. Broadcast also allows me to see the entire play clearly, how the defense is rotating/helping and back door cuts. Biggest thing though is forcing me to run sets and not iso.#WashedGamerComment

To bad 2k wont let us use the drive cam onlineI'm surprised a lot of ppl choose 2k cam over Drive. I like drive because it stays behind the player with the ball, allowing u to always see driving lanes and defensive mistakes. The rotation also allows u to see all of your teammates (as long as you aren't zoomed in too close). Makes the Iso to Pick n Roll game feel much more authentic to me. When they implemented each teams actual broadcast camera angle I started solely using it. I can't play on 2K cam anymore. I just like the game to feel as real as possible.Link to my NBA 2K13 2010-2011 Roster:

Re: What camera view was this game best created for???
See to me being a person that played basketball all the way up to college the only way for the game to feel real is if I feel like I'm on the court. Broadcast cannot achieve that feeling. However, I do sometimes switch to broadcast arena because the game looks really good on this view. My only issue is the far side of the court. It's difficult to see driving lanes and the controls are basically reversed. I assume that's something u get used to tho?Comment

On Court vs. Television Broadcast.
I think a lot of these threads get started because gamers are torn between these two. Both have realistic aspects, but also have their faults. 2K makes you feel like a player, but you can't see the entire court. Broadcast makes you feel like you're watching a live game, but it's hard to judge angles and I sometimes find myself neglecting the far side of the court subconsciously.Comment

Yea I feel the same way when I use broadcast. That's why I use drive instead of 2k tho because it rotates behind the ballhandler. So there's not really a spot on the court u can't see. I think the mix between the two would be the Iso cam. But u have to manually flip the camera after halftime unless u wanna play at that awkward NBA live 95 angle lol.On Court vs. Television Broadcast.

I'll have to try Drive out. I've heard good things about Beluba, but I haven't had an opportunity to test it out yet.Comment

Re: What camera view was this game best created for???
I tried it on 2k14, it's similar to broadcast but zoomed closer. That makes u feel like u have more control, I just have been able to master those angles. I usually switch once the game starts to feel stale and I feel I've "mastered" it for the year. Just to shake things up n let the CPU win some games while I adjust.Comment

Re: What camera view was this game best created for???
i prefer 2k cam to see the floor better, but this year I switched to broadcast because the 2k cam has been broken for years and they won't fix it - when you pass to the sides of the court with 2k cam, the camera moves to the side and cuts off the opposite side of the court. this is extremely frustrating - not being able to see the other side of the court...wth? so i begrudgingly switched to broadcast this year and will continue to stick with that until 2k finally offers a "stationary" 2k cam that doesn't shift from left to right when the ball moves to the sides of the court - i just want the 2k cam to stay in the center of the court and not shift from left to right. is that so much to ask?Comment

Re: What camera view was this game best created for???
here's a question for LD2K or a dev - why aren't all camera angles available online? is this due to "performance issues" because certain camera angles cause too much lag online?Comment

I tried Beluba for a while but no matter how I adjust zoom and height there's still a corner I want to be able to see that I can't see.I tried it on 2k14, it's similar to broadcast but zoomed closer. I started as a broadcast player, tried Beluba and became a steady 2k player.
But this thread got me to try drive at zoom 1 height 10 and I LOVE it. In fact I'm worried I may have to redo my slider set because I'm playing better as I see the court and passing lanes better.
First I watched some CPU v CPU with drive, and I was worried I might have trouble playing defense, but nah. Only thing I find is because of those weird little zooms and pans under the basket (they work fine) I end up holding my head and neck funny as if I'm trying to peer into the TV haha. I'll get used to it though.Comment
