Re: Is the INPUT LAG fixed?

Check your connection (make sure it's hardwired).

Check your display models input lag (easy google search).

Does type of Ethernet cable affect it much? Like does a cheap one perform noticeably worse than a good one?

The issue I have that you keep pushing aside like it's nothing is

Not a single game in my library, or show, or movie, or application has ANY delay/input lag Online or Offline.

NBA 2K offline has no input lag/delay OFFLINE. But as soon as I play any online mode, where the more players in that server, the laggier, more noticeable delay. I'm not drunk every time I play online, it is as clear as day that there is a delay to response of controls. It's pretty easy to tell when you have offline to compare it to.

So out of all the applications, games, you name it in my library causing NO issue for the entire life of my system, but 2k does online EACH YEAR....idk something points to that game's servers. Not my TV.

And if it just so happens to be my TV, then I applaud ALL the other games that don't cause ANY input lag Online for me and have instant responses and I think it shouldn't be too hard for 2k to mimic that level of response if a Battlefield, COD, every other sports game including another basketball game can.

There is no game that has the same latency off line then online...FACT

And online lag has ZERO to do with the game and more to do with connection and server latency.
It really doesn't matter as it still results in input lag. Servers are a part of the game experience so you can't separate the two. Fix the servers and everything will probably be fine. Why argue against that?

What also plays a part is the frame rate and 60fps isn't good for anything that requires quick and smooth inputs.

What's interesting though is that a lot of people say that the input lag has improved over last year. So did all of these people who are saying this purchase new tv's since then?

Re: Is the INPUT LAG fixed?

I can't help but feel the people who are complaining about it this year are just salty; with the new foot planting it's far, far better than last year and they seem to have cleaned up some of their network code as well. You can actually stick to your guy on defense, but you still have to be careful about tapping turbo when guarding someone as you can find yourself out of place if you over-commit; shading your movement with the controller works best.

Park is actually enjoyable this year as a result, especially now they've added 4 on 4.

Re: Is the INPUT LAG fixed?

I only play offline but I had no lag at all last year even though ever one said there was a lot so I have no idea what people are talking about. Heck I have never had input lag in any NBA 2K game before.

Re: Is the INPUT LAG fixed?

I've got a Sony HDTV and if I put it on best picture setting there is a slight input lag, nothing extreme but it is noticable. However, if I set it to game mode, I get no input lag. This is all offline. So if I sacrifice the picture a little bit, the response is better. I'm still terrible at the game though .

I don't think so, a couple of things.

                    I started playing in 2k10 I played 2500 Ranked games in 2k11, 2k12, 2k13

Just saying, that's ALOT of games, those 3 games were amazing.

My HDTV is one of the best, if not THE best for gaming. And YES its set to GAME MODE

                    Sony KDL-55W900a 55 inch 240hz 19ms

The very fastest HDTV are 17ms, and are only 120hz. feel free to check displaylag.com

Why did ONLINE 2k13 feel more responsive than 2k14 and 2k15 OFFLINE

Seriously do you work for 2k?

I Personally haven't seen 2k16 in person, but I'm not really seeing THIS GAME IS SMOOTH AS BUTTER responses all round i was hoping for. I can handle cheese, I can handle exploits but I CANNOT handle the SEVERE input lag that was there in 2k14 and 15. I bought 2k14 on 360, I bought 2k14 on ONE and I bought 2k15 on ONE. I'm not buying 2k16 unless this serious true, real... right there slapping you in the face definitely existed not made up PROBLEM...... has been sorted

                    Thankyou.

It's definitely not normal for all sports games, older 2k's ran flawlessly online.

Can you please read what I typed again. I started this thread.

No where have I mentioned ONLINE LAG.

Ill type it again.... my thoughts on INPUT LAG

ONLINE 2k13= VERY GOOD, VERY RESPONSIVE

                              OFFLINE 2k14 and 2k15 = WORSE THAN 2k13 ONLINE

                              clear enough?

Maybe I notice it more because I try every move that's in the book, all the iso all the trick shots.
there's even been moves that weren't in the manual. Id pretty much NEVER shoot a straight up jumper unless it was a 3, id be going for a step back, fade away drifters spin shots and moves from the post.
If you just run around passing normally and shooting straight up jumpers.... yeah you probably never notice it.

So does anybody else, who actually knows what input lag is.
And was thought it was shocking in 2k14 and 2k15.

Can give me some more opinions on 2k16.

                                Thank you
