Re: **The Official Patch 4 Request Thread**
I think on ball defense is fine that's more so user error than anything IMO but this list is solid. 3 seconds definitely needs to be tweaked because it's all over the place right now. Spot on about off ball defense as well. Good points made here.I think they should make minor adjustments to a few things. I play on the park almost every night, and as of right now, it is still a ton of fun to go out there with my squad, BUT a few minor things still hinder the experience at times.
- 3 Seconds in paint -
I am a huge supporter of introducing the rule to the park, and at first it was such a game changer for me being a slashing swingman. The penalty was being called accordingly, but lately I've seen it called at random... sometimes guys can sit directly under the rim for 6+ seconds without any calls.
-On ball defense-
Defense was maybe a little too powerful at first, but on ball defense after patch 3 is too weak overall. I pride myself on playing good defense and trying to shut down my man, but lately I have felt very sluggish. I'm a 6'8 Guard, and me and my squad run small ball a lot, which leaves me at the 3 spot playing against Centers which I enjoy. But lately, if a center is out at the perimeter with the ball, he can actually run to the baseline and get around me while I try to shadow his every move. Doesn't happen all the time, but just more frequently after patch 3.
-Off ball defense-
In my opinion it needs to be more fluid and responsive. The arrow pointing my player towards my man to guard needs to be toned down. Too many times the arrow will switch onto a man I don't want to defend, and gives me trouble trying to get back to MY man.Comment

Re: **The Official Patch 4 Request Thread**
MyPark -- Bring back the ability to form a squad with any of your friends even if you're all from different Park factions just by having everyone meet up at one person's MyCourt before going to the park. This feature was removed for some reason in patch 3.
Play Now Online -- Lower tier teams are only receiving 1 win instead of 2/3 wins whenever they defeat a higher tier team via rage quit.
MyTeam -- Fix the server errors and 0-0 "Arbitration" losses that allow you to somehow take a loss after your opponent quits a game.
The Gauntlet -- Change the scoring system from 1s and 2s to 2s and 3s. Add adjustable defensive settings and defensive matchups to the pause menu. Add basic offensive sets (3-out, 2-out, 1-out) so that teams can space their offense appropriately instead of having big men who can't shoot standing behind the three point line the entire game.
Blocking fouls -- Too many continuation shooting fouls get incorrectly called as non-shooting blocking fouls. This mostly happens on left trigger blocking fouls. Too often, you'll be in the midst of attempting a dunk/layup animation and the game will still call a non-shooting blocking foul.
Lack of left trigger charging calls -- Right now there doesn't seem to be any way to get a charge call without pressing the B button. Players in good defensive position should be able to produce charge calls just by holding down the left trigger and being positionally sound.
Too many left trigger/right joystick fouls -- The left trigger and right joystick contests on defense need to be tuned so that they produce much fewer fouls. When defending with the left trigger/right joystick, your player should never bite on pump fakes or commit flagrant fouls. Flagrants should only be possible when holding X or pressing Y. And pump fake fouls should only happen when using the Y button to jump.
Long outlet pass accuracy -- Long outlet passes need to have significantly reduced accuracy. It's way too easy to hit a perfect run out pass in stride from 1/2 court and 3/4 court distance immediately after catching a rebound in traffic.
Inability to stop interior passes -- Both the AI and human defenders have a hard time tipping/intercepting interior passes. Too often the ball will morph through limbs/bodies and wind up in the offensive player's hands.
Alley oop tuning -- Patch 3 made it where guys will clank wide open alley oops off the rim, presumably to tone down their effectiveness. I'd much rather have the effectiveness of alley oops be reduced by making them harder to throw, harder to catch cleanly, and easier for the defense to tip/intercept. Right now it just looks goofy when you catch a wide open oop and clank if off the rim.
THIS.
This has got to be the longest standing systemic issue with the 2K basketball franchise. As a defensive player, its frustrating not being able to be active in the passing lanes, whether on the perimeter or in the paint, especially in the Pro Am.
If we could tip or intercept passes at a good rate, it would deter others from spamming lead passes to their bigs and blindly throwing cross court passes we can't intercept, even with the badge."I don't trust lawyers...."

- Also, Shooters don't get ready for open shots.
They stand way too far behind 3 pt line. If I move him up, he's no longer open. If I shoot it 4 feet behind the line, I get a C grade and miss even though no one is around.Comment

Re: **The Official Patch 4 Request Thread**
Thanks Korrupted. On ball defense is just a SMALL gripe I have. If it stayed the way it is currently, I would not complain. And user error does play a huge part. The only hope I'd like is to SLIGHTLY lighten up your player on D. If not, hopefully they leave it as is so we can fully adapt and adjust our angles while playing.Comment

I'm fine with the gameplay. Just fix the damn co-op so I can play with my bro. If they don't do it by holidays I'm done.Comment

Re: **The Official Patch 4 Request Thread**
Used to be able to tip and intercept full court passes waaaay back in 2k7....I remember playing that one quite a bit and there were crazy animations where players would jump like 5 feet to intercept the pass...now I'm not advocating to bring THAT particular instance back, but give us the opportunity to be able to intercept those passes like the CPU does against us all the time. Make "pass interception" attribute actually mean something.THIS.

Re: **The Official Patch 4 Request Thread**
With the long outlet passes, I agree they are too accurate but even when they do go errant I don't think they do it right. The receiving player shouldn't turn into Urkel and not look like a amateur athlete who can't catch. The pass should be inaccurate. Meaning it should go long, short, left or right and be easier to intercept.Long outlet pass accuracy -- Long outlet passes need to have significantly reduced accuracy. The interior passing. OMG! It's horrible...I lost a PNO game on a game winning dunk due to this. I was guarding on-ball and he passed it inside. My CPU controlled player whiffed on an easy steal and he dunked it home. It HAS gotten better over the years but I still think there's not enough contact in the paint. Just because a pass is airborne shouldn't mean all physics go away. You can't lead pass a go into traffic w/ no consequences. Two-player animation while the ball is in the air maybe where they are fighting for the ball? IDK but I would love for it to be fixed."I BALL FOR REAL, YALL DUDES IS SAM BOWIE."

Re: **The Official Patch 4 Request Thread**
Please fix defensive rotations. Players run from their man and stand in the lane, leaving offensive threats wide open all over the floor (this has to be a glitch). Also, big men will become brain dead and not guard their player down low, leading to an easy pass to the post for a score.
On the offensive end (offline) please improve the launch points so we can explode to the rim. This years dribbling system is extremey inconsistent and it kills the organic flow of the game. Between all the unneccesary hitches in the dribble drive animations, and the consistant suction and bumping from CPU controlled defenders, the game feels very stiff.
Thanks for your consideration.Last edited by ch46647; 12-04-2015, 07:41 PM.Comment

Re: **The Official Patch 4 Request Thread**
Couldn't agree more. I played a user online who took perfect advantage of this. It's like I can't play defense on everybody at all times. I do enough switching to reposition the AI as it is. Every time down court magically somebody was open for a midrange or 3, lost 63-54. The dribbling system is broken and not realistic it needs a major overhaul. Getting around my man is more of a task on this game than in real life lol. Dribble drive penetration is common in basketball, hence it should be in the game. If it were, and dribbling was so choppy I'm sure there would be less complaining about people finding "cheap" ways to score. Please fix defensive rotations.
