Uh. This is absolutely untrue. Only 22 players in the entire league shoot over 40% from 3. "Contested" is something that cannot be measured. Most players typically try to take "open" 3s. Curry is the exception.

Just theorizing, but I'll probably go with Pass First, Shot Creator or Slasher for my PG and Shot Creator or Slasher with my SG.

        Re: Define Your Playstyle

PG: Scoring (Sharpshooter or Shot Creator)
        SG: Lockdown Defender
        SF: Point Forward & Slasher
        PF or C: Post Scorer

I plan on making multiple play styles, just testing everything I like.

First of all don't do that, look up the advanced metrics and you'll see they measure shot attempts that way. They have wide open, open and contested metrics.

No player makes more than 50% of their open 3s and if anyone does it is an anomaly. Missing an open 3 in 2K is fine, missing 4 in a row is fine, its basketball and complaining about missing open shots in a game we want to be a close to realistic as possible is contradicting what we want out of the game.

If you shoot 8 threes and make 3 of them thats a great game from 3 point range but guys wanna go 9/10 on strictly 3s for whatever reason.

I was agreeing with you. The 50% success rate is a bit high. 2k success is based of mainly the script..and ratings

              Define Your Playstyle

I think I might play strictly park and pro-am this year now that they split the player types up. The regular game has been awful for a few years.

I calculated that the top players in my park played approximately 100 days based on 10 minute game in the park...wow

Hopefully this year I can mold my player into a defense specialist with a lack of offensive skillset. For example, guys like Tony Allen, MKG and Sefolosha. In the past, I always end up upgrading my offensive skills because the A.I teammates have a hard time running the offense.

It'll be cool if we could end up becoming 'role players' or 'glue guys' for a change instead being thrusted into the limelight.

I am definitely making a Kobe copy. 6'6 200 lbs versatile scorer. Go ME!

6'8 glass cleaner, pf or sf depending on the caps. I just hope the rebound and boxout ratings actually matter this year. If they don't and i get sucked into being boxed out by 6'0 guards again (who don't even have position) i might try a 6'7 lockdown defender pg.

Who knows though, i'll have to see all the positions and archetypes first.

These are for SF.. there should be different styles for each Position

Not sure which archetype would be best for a stretch 4 but I really enjoyed playing a balanced PF with pretty good midrange shot. I'd like to do that again.

My main MyPlayer will most likely either be a 6'4 Slasher point guard or a 6'6 shot creator shooting guard. I plan to see how the Point Forward archetype will be, too.

I've been an SG the whole time. I might try SF. Also I would really be interested in making a Hakeem Olajuwon type C. What archetype would that be?
