It sounds like the patch is like a whole different build of the game.

I'm constantly seeing my center leave the AI center wide open under the basket because they want to double team on the perimeter.

That's why I'm thinking this is an ACE issue with defense. Even so, not every open shot should have the success rate that it does. NBA players miss wide open shots, quite often actually, and that's not represented here.

Wide open shot success rate, and covered shot success rate seems to almost be the same, and that's not good. We're not being rewarded for playing good defense, which is evidenced by the many many last second shot contested fade away 3s the AI consistently makes.

Also, I've noticed AI offensive rebounding is a problem. When the AI wants to score on a possession, they will. They will warp through your players on a missed shot to secure an offensive board and easy put back. This happens way too often, and you can almost tell when it's going to happen, it seems so cheap.

Also like I said in my previous post, the dice roll for made to missed shots seems entirely too high, and it doesn't seem like ratings are playing too much of a factor when it comes to shooting.

I should also mention, I mainly play with real Player %, and the issue is just as noticeable. That's why I'm thinking ratings really aren't mattering when it comes to shooting.

The cpu seems to be getting perfect releases on 75 percent of their open shots on the higher levels. That is why they are making every open shot. Look at the follow thru of the Cpu on every jumper.

I finally had a game where both teams shot under 50%, but I had to keep dropping shooting sliders. I won the game shooting 44% from the field to their 48% but had more fastbreak points due to forcing turnovers. 3's were 29% and 30% respectively.

Still, the AI and myself had plenty of easy shots in the paint due to the wacky CPU defense. Another problem that arises from the horrible defending is that the AI ends up fouling out their bigs because they fall behind a play and end up fouling in the paint from behind or too late. At least I didn't see any crazy double teams this time.

I think all those problems are just stemming from the poor CPU AI defense. Defense seemed really good to me before this latest patch.

Defense was good (decent if you want), but faster passes highlight porr reads and reaction times.

Haven't applied it yet myself. Hopefully gameplay is back to the way it was.

Patch ruined the organic speed of the gamwplay and also passes are now supersonic which is nowhere near natural and shooting is messed up all over. I hated the patch! It was great pre-patch i hate it!

It definitely is, but I think there were similar problems pre-patch with players rotating from across the other side of the court for no apparent reason. I think by getting better at the game and playing offline with the same team I end up noticing it a lot more than before.

But yeah, the patch has created other problems that weren't there before. If they sort it out the help and reduce the contested shots going in I think I'd be satisfied for the time being, but there's definitely other stuff that needs to be addressed. I've had about 8372923792 ankle injuries so far in games I've played and the fact that ACE insists on running the same plays and using illogical defensive matchups.

To me pass speed was great. It was not a problem of speed but a problem of animations (there were too many bad lobs but normal passes were good)

I don't mind the speed so much as the fact that now the AI plays hot potato with the ball in some instances and ping pongs it between players without causing turnovers. Its pretty silly looking and most of the time it doesn't lead to good opportunities for their team. Reminds me a bit of the AI from FIFA.

Exactly my thoughts it was close to perfect! But now they are supersonic. No weight to the ball at all.

There were a lot of guys on this board complaining about passing speeds the day the prelude dropped. So 2k changed it. Now some of the same people are saying passing is to fast. I personally think passing was fine pre patch, and that poor passers should be poor passers. Most people on the boards complain about the passing without looking at the passer. Bizmack should be throwing floaty and inaccurate passes every time he passes to a moving target, whereas Chris Paul should not. The non player specific gameplay complaints from this site are often counterproductive. This one isn't on 2k it's on the consumer for asking for a change they don't really want or understand.
