Re: Player Edit Screen
I think I know why they took the sliders out
They said that there's "infinite body types" and "new sliders" for NBA player accuracy in the game according to the old art trailer. I think that theres a slider for developers to adjust little things like bicep or shoulder size. Adding wingspan and shoulder width sliders might mess with the bodies the devs gave real NBA players.
PS - This is a theory im just suggesting this as a possibilityComment

Well that would be silly since so many guys look off.I think I know why they took the sliders out

Guys in real life with short torsos have long torsos/short legs in this game.
Guys with crazy wingspans have short arms in this game.Comment

Re: Player Edit Screen
This is very disappointing. I can live without the edits, at least keep proportions the same when editing heightComment

Re: Player Edit Screen
Then that's the art team's fault for getting the bodies wrong.
If we have sliders like the last couple of 2Ks, we might not get to see unique body proportions like Dwight's shoulders looking like boulders or KD's lankiness.
Only gripe I have is the lack of muscle definition in certain players which does throw off immersion a little, but imo the body proportions have never been better for any sports game period.Comment

Re: Player Edit Screen
What? If you go in CAP, you can edit the body so it does look like KD's...or Dirks...or whoever. Then that's the art team's fault for getting the bodies wrong.

So, put that stuff back in the edit screen so we can make ALL of the players in the league look more accurate.
Having guys with short arms who IRL have crazy long arms is terrible. Same goes for the short/long torsos and shoulders.
No reason to take this out when it's been there for years...and is still in the game, but only under CAP now.Comment

Re: Player Edit Screen
While we have the attention of the Dev team. Do you think we can have the wingspan slider read on an inches or feet scale similar to MyCareer instead of being on a 0-100 scale. This might be too much to ask for in a patch.Comment

Re: Player Edit Screen
Just saw on Twitter someone asked about patching player edit back in. Someone said that wouldn't be an easy patch and that it likely won't happen. Da Czar chimed in laughing and agreed with him.
Real funny that 2k took something like this out. Maybe they'll make it where we can edit players if we use VC.Comment

Re: Player Edit Screen
It seems to only be available in myLeague. I was able to take off Kenyon Martin's headband on the 02 Nets in mine

Proportions are really not that great tbh. They're better, but legs are way too short. UFC has better proportions, new madden, FIFA, pes also does.

Re: Player Edit Screen
Jeez you guys really go over the top there. Yea it sucks but with all they've added you focus on 1 thing and turn that into "basically 2k said F the customers creativity."
Not true, you can put headbands on guys, at least in MyLeague you can. I was able to throw a headband on Lebron and decide if he wore it Always, Often, Occasionally, or Never. I think that's a really cool feature that adds some variety as your season goes on. So you can set the frequency of the accessories instead of having to go in and manually change it all the time if you wanted to add or remove something.Comment
