Well that would end up being for park only right? Would rather have it affect everything online related if anything lol.

Completely agree about the Twitter thing. Wrong place to ask. Everyone wants it easy. They want to make every shot, make every dunk. Etc.

As evident by the 2kshare sliders. Some of the most popular ones are the 100Human/0CPU ones

I would hope this was only for those two modes of the game, they have to try to balance bad play. I which they had added just Pro am as an option because its suppose to be sim, I can live with park being more arcade.

People tend to forget that 2k is a business and they need to keep the consumers happy and as much as we like to believe OS does not represent the largest consumers of the game and even on this site there is no real consensus on the issues and no issues with the game.

I wonder if these tunings affect MLO.. Seeing great balance on hof default sliders after a one season sample size so I think they separate MLO from the other online modes that affected. Can any MLO player confirm? Would hate for the wisdom of the arcade Twitter crowd to influence the offline and online sim modes like ML and MLO. He already knows the answer he will get asking Twitter Nation a question like that. Open shots should be rewarded over bad contested shots all day everyday but of course the Twitter Kids don't want to run any competent sets to get good to decent looks and instead want to be bailed out by smothered shots, ratings or player archetype be damned.

I was watching a Twitch streamer last night and the subject of contested shots came up in the chat. He asked me to put up the poll so we could see what the general consensus of the Park community was. Don't worry, regardless of the poll results, I'm not planning on making any major changes to shooting. If I tweak anything, it will be subtle... and will only be applied to Park (maybe Pro Am.)

Am I the only person who doesn’t think contested shots are going in too much?? I see maybe two or three well contested shots go in per game on average which is honestly realistic. I think the a lot of people don’t actually know what an open shot is. I would’ve voted no for this.

Don't we have sliders for contested vs open success anyway? 🤔 can't remember off the top of my head, if not we should.

Park is a mess anyway. Although I might be biased because I've spent the first 60 games playing with randoms and my record is god awful.

What I don't get, is why do shooters get this poll, yet no other activity does? Posterizer was slightly nerfed a couple of spinning ball updates ago (the one where layups were buffed). I have a pure slasher and I can tell it has been, I'm getting far more hip riding layups as opposed to contact dunks, I'm going up for more layups generally around traffic, and I'm clanking more contact animations off the rim than at any point during the game. I can still dominate, but why did no one ask slashers if posterizer should be nerfed, and yet it appears that 2k lives in fear of offending shooters?

Some people argue it should be arcade level of shooting because park, but still you have to understand on how very easy shooting kills the use of other archetypes. Whats the point of post scoring,slashing,midrange if u can green every 3pt shot you take.

Hook shots are broken and nobody talk about it. Defender dont even need hand up to force miss, i take uncontested hook over small guard who has his back turned to me and its "bad shot selection" automatic brick, while some sharp can just zig zag abit behind screen and green very deep range 3pt all day.

will there be a different slider set for hof like last year? last year offline sliders were a bit lower for more realistic shooting percentages and online was left untouched.

I feel like contested shots are completely weird.

- Bad defense, but for some reason there's still a shot contest.
- Good defense, but the shot contest doesn't even matter.

I don't understand 2K and I feel like they need to rework their shot contest detection system.

Another thing I think 2K should do is change the spread of the shooting percentages so that better ratings can shoot better and bad ratings should shoot worse.

What I mean is make it so that a 90 rating player shoots signfiicantly better than a 70 rating player. Right now, there's barely any difference from mid-70s to mid-80s. In general, 2K just has the player stats too close, so the spread is not enough. That's why a lot of cheese centers are so viable on the perimeter when they shouldn't.

Same thing with player speed (though this is slightly better in 2K18). Like a 90 speed or accel rating should mean you outspeed a 80 speed or accel guy.
