Re: Random NBA 2K19 Detail From Mike Wang

This adds a whole new level. Been asking for this for years now. I can't wait to try it out. It's something that's been missing for a while now. Since like 2K8 I've been saying this is the next step.

I'm truly excited to try this out

But having an actual animation for it will be much better.
That's what I've been doing. Hesi in layup or pass.

There next added effects here are alley oops out of this situation.

Playing with Harden and Paul with Capella now could feel so realistic. Same with Rondo and McGee. This would have been awesome with Pelicans in 18 with Rondo and A. Davis! Sounds like ally oop success was fixed too. It’s funny I’m more excited for this then anything else I’ve heard minus live ball. It clearly doesn’t take much to get me excited but in actuality these small additions are huge additions for immersion and gameplay. Keep adding these types of things and im going to the moon! Lol

This is cool news. Not until 2k provides a plethora of options on the defensive side of the ball will this franchise truly go to the next level..They spend so much time animating the offensive side of the ball and providing various options to it, defense feels like an afterthought. We should be able to pick between poking at the ball or swiping up/down at the ball. Bring back the defensive hop step that existed in older installments. Different individual stances/techniques ( https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCxN...42O_1M2RiY3vxw)

          Looking forward to 2k19.
EA and 2k have the unfortunate task of trying to balance on a tightrope of fun and sim while trying not to fall 10,000 feet to their death. Instead of a safety net waiting down below there will just be angry customers quick to move out of the way and talk of their failure.

Continuing to give offense a boost without improving the defense lol

From the sounds of all the feedback so far defense was the focus this year and czar spent a ton of time on that side. On ball better, live ball steals, pinned blocks, bumps on drives, etc have been the consensus from early hands on... ???

Vann- Where did Czar confirm he worked on defense for 2k19? It is my understanding that he was the offensive AI guru, and Scott OG was the lead on defense.

                  Thanks!

Its tradition at this point. A slew of new offensive animations and defense gets a nice hard look and hopefully gets a nice patch fix later lol

I really hope they added canned block dunk animations this year to counter the dunk on you animations.

You sure cause the ai doesn't always react right

I hope the hop step/spin dunks not similar to 2k11

the 2k11 hop step might have been the biggest cheese move in 2K history
spin dunk was a close 2nd

Huge news. If it's balanced right, massive game change in the pick and roll game.
