Re: Random NBA 2K19 Details From Mike Wang
The little guys are going to get their shots sent just like its been for the past couple games, with the trajectory the animations start for their shots in the paint, and the blocking mechanics in this game? Its a long shot.He also added today that you can branch off for little guys in floaters and runners. This is going to be amazing... Seriously hype just off this addition alone.

Re: Random NBA 2K19 Details From Mike Wang
Some players already have this built into their dribble package. Does he mean a simple ball between the legs or a between the legs escape type of dribble?Mike also put on Twitter to do a crossover between the legs you now use RT and left on Right stick (if ball in right hand). I personally like that addition. Especially with live ball and for me being a broadcast cam player. Too many times I’d mean to do a between legs but would get a simple cross instead.
The dribble crab dribble off pnr’s, simple between legs cross to counter live ball more intuitive, and the LT for stop dribble hesi. Using LT as a point guard ala Gary Payton or Magic with back to defender will be necessary again as well to counter live ball steals. Add to that right stick stealing is back. All great additions!
It’s the little things!

Simple between the legs. New configuration. He did say what escape dribble was too though, but I forget what he said...Some players already have this built into their dribble package. Does he mean a simple ball between the legs or a between the legs escape type of dribble?

From the videos it looks like floaters were possibly redone? They looked smoother and like it flowed as well as different animations. I wasn’t a fan of those animations this past year either...Basketball Playbooks

Ok it's kind of like Live did it with using a modifier.

Through the legs being a basic flick of RS to the off hand (with trigger held) is great.
Hated the previous way of doing it. Should be far easier to to consistently this way.
I like it.Comment

I hope they take out the ball-fumble/juggle when it comes to simple passes. That is a big fastbreak killer. SMH.Comment

I got put in the jail by Bayless in my 2011 MyLeague.
Hoping to see more stuff like this next year. And less stupid swipes like this one that AI Bjelica did (tho he is 60 OVR rated and with worst defense ever)

It's like Bayless took a look where Wes Matthews is and put him (me) in jail and I couldn't do anythingComment

Animation speed plays a huge role in getting swatted when you should have had a much easier layup. Ball trajectory also plays a huge role because the best finishers might either squeeze a shot right under the defender's hands, shoot it high off the glass, or over their outstretched arms.'Only The Strong Survive'Comment

Re: Random NBA 2K19 Details From Mike Wang
This drove me nuts as a PG last year in ProAM I would have 2-3 steps on a dude and get swatted by a pure sharp like they were lebron or brick the lay up too often. I'm not the best player but I know when I should have had an uncontested layup.Animation speed plays a huge role in getting swatted when you should have had a much easier layup. Re: Random NBA 2K19 Details From Mike Wang
Your right, its going to be nearly impossible to program little guys to be able to play like they should, little guys in real basketball were and are good at getting defenders off balance for a good amount of space for their shots, or improvising a shot when they go at a defender maybe putting it under their arms, or taking a quick angle off the glass, they would have to have thousands of animations just for them.Animation speed plays a huge role in getting swatted when you should have had a much easier layup. Re: Random NBA 2K19 Details From Mike Wang
I can’t be the only one who has felt that when a big is trailing or somewhat in the vicinity, sometimes the game gives you the slowest layup animation just so it can get swatted.
Why would I do a hanging double clutch in that scenario instead of something quick and efficient? Those moments are the worst and feel scripted.Last edited by The Gym Reaper; 07-26-2018, 10:17 PM.⛹🏽💀
