I am glad to see people want carry over saves like I do. I feel like a feature like that would be the icing on the cake for 2k franchise mode. I do understand their reasoning for not having it. Someday it has to be possible even with big changes year to year.

How hard do you think players would play, when the prize is a young star to take their jobs?

      Nah. Never going to happen.

Please tell me carry over saves are in MyLeague in 2k19.

They used this year to streamline and make since of the franchise. And when SDS introduced year to year that was one of the questions asked and they said that they will be able to include features sets into year to year, which they have done with Road to the Show.

SDS is a much smaller team than 2K, it's more about resource allocation and time rather than vision.

Agree 100 pct. The show went to year to year save at a time when ppl were transitioning from ps3 to ps4. We were able to bring our files over from another console entirely. I think there focus is just elsewhere at this time. Hopefully we’ll get it in the future

This is true and as they already cater to the casual and younger market if they continue to listen to the more serious gamers on this forum they can cover the entire market. Win-win for everybody

Hoping the free agency sliders help you to prevent AI from signing several max players to the same position. Makes MyLeague unplayable after a few seasons when every team is capped out with a roster full of centers and no wings.

Think this will be my favorite addition to NBA 2k19’s ML, preventing guys like Jah and Papagionis from getting 20mil in free agency after being buried on the bench for a season.

Looking forward to the historic draft classes as well but remaining cautiously optimistic, would be very disappointing if the players come into the league at elite levels (85+). Being able to build a team around Tim Duncan with only modern bigs to defend him, God bless 😂

Erick, if you read this thread is there a way to let commishes in OML have ability to edit cpu teams in areas such as advanced rotations, help defense sliders (assuming they still are not tied into a roster), as well as coaching adjustments? As is now you need to have a co commish, quit league come in as cpu, make adjustments, quit again, then come back in. Not exactly ideal but at least there is a workaround. Hopefully we can streamline this process?

Yeah, I quit buying 2K due to lack of carry over saves since I play so much MLB the Show due to carry over save. I love this blog and plan to pick up 2k this year. However, likely my last 2k hoops game this gen.

Im on the same boat. I get to draft players, watch them develop, build rivals, and I get to see through any move I make. Had my show franchise since for since 2016 and every year the show comes out I just upgrade the game and continue on from there.

It really is great. I'm trying to decide how to run my 2k Franchise. I want to do an expansion team for sure.

Maybe I'm getting old but playing an hour plus Madden franchise game is brutal at times. The last 2K I bought I kicked around an idea of only playing the last 6 minutes of each regular season game (that isn't a blow out) but it didn't stick. There are a couple reason I wanted to use this method: 1) An article came out that basically said only the last 6 minutes of an NBA game matter (from a statical/gambling perspective). 2) To shorten the season and game lengths drastically. I think I may try this method again this year. I want to be able to have meaningful input throughout the season and stay connected to the league but I also want to play through a bunch of seasons too (even more so with draft classes). Hopefully this will be a good balance. I'd also play every playoff game for my team.

Anyway, interested how others play through their MyLeague.

I've found that playing ML games with 7 or 8 (12 for the playoffs) min qtrs and equalized stats did wonders. It allows me to get through more games and have stats roughly the match up. It's long enough for me to have to use my bench but not so long that it becomes a drag.

I do a variation of what you do: I start every game, and if I go up by 20, I sim to the end. If I see my lead shrinking I'll jump back in and close the game. Right now, I have a pretty powerful team so I can do the fast sim with a high level of confidence and not worry about losing.

Another favorite of mine: I take a tour of the league playing every team for the first meeting of the season so I can go against new line-ups with their free agents and rookies. I play only 29 full games; often times less because there are early blow-outs. It usually takes 3-4 seasons for me to get to this point: My team usually has to be a top 4 contender; that's when I'm confident (arrogant?) enough to fast-sim most of the games so I can get to the playoffs.

Pretty much how I have did it the the past. I used to play one game every week of the season. I’d just pick the most interesting game or a game I thought I could win (when I wasn’t good). Then I’d play the playoffs. Usually by the second year I just aim to the playoffs and play it out.
