If I still do my 3 & D wing, I'm thinking of skipping out on a few badges/tiers. Using the 2klab builder, I have an idea of how I want to spread out my badges. Will skip out on Quick Reflexes. If all it does is increase size/duration of defensive arrows, then I don't need it. I will do Defensive Leader but won't do HOF. Seeing opponents shot %s doesn't do much. If you know your opponents, you should already know their shot chances. The first time I made the build, I was too concerned about getting the most badge points for each skill. I only need like 5-7 for Playmaking and Finishing. So, I can focus on getting most badges for Defense and Shooting

Defensive leader actually distracts me .

do you feel the worm badge is really worth it?

Not really against the A.I. I can see it online against 1-4 but most Cs with have a high level box out.

It just clutters up the screen. I dont really see the point of if. Unless CPU teammates are more aware of AI shot %, it doesn't help the user. I will do Gold for 3+ Defensive boosts, but that's it. Plus if you have a teammate in Career or Park with Defensive/Offensive leader, than I wouldn't touch that badge at all.

Yeah unless I was doing something wrong, I didn't get worm to activate for me in demo. I think as long as you have Rebound Chaser and Box out, that should suffice.

I'm guessing the counter to that is Finishers/Defenders, can contest pretty well and push them around in the paint.

Don't know... they removed shot contest as a separate stat and apparently put it into interior and perimeter defense.

If perimeter defense actually includes 3s contesting, most big men will have it very low.

Okay so last year was my first year making a pg and I want to do it again

I made 6’2 super athletic defender/slasher in the last one.

I play almost the majority of time in jrc but I want to be able to shoot this year. Last year I was playing with two bigs this year one of my friends is making a sg play/sharp so we both of us will have the ball a lot.


The build I’ve been messing with

6’1 defense/shooting with a little shorter Wingspan

94&93 speed and acc
53 strength
80 Vert

78 driving layup
76 driving dunk

85 mid range
83 3pt
88 ft (don’t want to max it, maybe 82 with less badges will do)

82 pass
83 ball handling

84 per d
87 lat quickness
86 steal

Badges
12 finishing- Silver Acrobat(or gold), relentless, giant slayer, finisher, slithery finisher, bronze fancy and Floater

15 shooting- hall of fame catch and shoot, gold deadeye, gold flexible release, silver difficult shots, bronze range extender slippery and quick release

11 playmaking- gold dimer, gold quick first step, silver floor general, bronze lob city, needle threader and unoluckable (???)

13 Defense- hall of fame clamps, gold pick pocket, gold pick dodger, bronze trapper, intimidator(was gonna go hof but read it’s mostly for bigs), and that leaves one more. Maybe tireless


So basically I’m trying to make a pg that can create for others, hit a open shot (while the sg creates), defend, and be able to finish inside with all the layup badges.


What do you guys think? Any badge suggestions or mixing it up?


I’ve seen most people are making taller pg so I want to switch it up.

I'm really thinking to go 6'6 pg (shot creator style) with +1/2 longer arms like i did in 2k19. Skills boosts + floor general boosts gonna really make up for some rating loss and height difference will always be nice and useful in many situations.

Shooting/Playmaking piechart , take all shooting ratings and sacrifice abit from playmaking/finishing to get like 9 defensive badge points. After all this time people still seem to understate the height factor in 2k games imo.

It just clicked for me that Floor General/Def Leader only boost TEAMMATES attributes

But i wonder if you have two people with each then does everybody still end up with boosts even though it can’t stack.

It would have been cool but broken if the boosts did apply to the holder. My Two Way slashing playmaker would have came out with a 70 3 ball [emoji23]

Man ima be cheesy this year on my first build idc lol

7 foot stretch.

Cuz I had a athletic finishing post scorer and a pure post..towards the end made a pure rim..

I don't like the defense at all unless you're a defender...and like I was noticing I dont think many bigs are gonna put up perimeter defense.

I dont see post scorers being too big of a threat, mainly a lot of defenders/rebounders.

Hopefully spacing the floor and being a good shooter mixed with some defense and rebounding helps more than clogging the lanes.

Im going in with the mentality that “stretches are op” and make someone that can switch out and lock up. Feel like that alone will make most people rage. For bigs that like to grab the board and push, downhill is a must with break starter. Hopefully this year the small ball 4 or 5 will actually work.

Cause it would be cool, but I dont wanna spend some time on a build then realise I could have another one more interesting
