Rockets would be tough. They have next to no draft capital to use in a trade, especially given the fact that since the pick would be at the end of the first round youd have to send multiple picks and they don’t have that. The Rockets also have no young valuable pieces.
For contract matching you might have to include Gordon, but his contract pays him a substantial amount when he won’t be worth it.
Your best bet would be to include a third team that would need Gordon, but again, you’d have to include a pick for whoever is taking on that money and the Rockets don’t have that.
Covington is the next guy who has value, but given the Bulls situation you’d have to again include a third team who has assets/picks they’d give up to Chicago to take back Covington. You’d have to find contracts that match, but a deal with the Lakers that sends Covington to LA and Kuzma to the Bulls might be a decent starting point.
