Then again, its all personal preference ....
    Few questions:

    1) which difficulty
    2) did you find it too easy to Hit shots that Were Not Green or did you mostly Hit Greens?

This edition for me is very frustating
Before i made a myleague offline match with pistons versus bulls:
12 min superstar level. 56 mid range 56 3 point as sliders.
      85-77 for bulls.
I hitted 6/36, from 3 point as pistons.

      33% cpu 30% me as Field goal%

I like the game, but is not realistic, if someone looks actual Nba. Too much wide open shoots miss or better that these shoots depend too much from timing.

I want only simulate nba basketball! I dont want to become esport pro player.

Yeah I understand your frustrations with the shot this year. I have always just used the x button to shoot for as long as I have been playing 2k which I believe was 2k10. Back in 2k10 I remember was almost a joke. If somebody has the 3 pointer icon they would make a three 8/10 times and didn't really even matter that much on your timing. Just had to get it to a decent release point...Very arcadish. But as the years have went along it seemed to be more on how you actually time it.

I am not an elite 2k player or anything. I played competitive online matches for a few years and then have played exclusively my league offline for the last 7 or so years.

Using the x button has never been a problem. Some years seems easier, some a little harder or a little different but I get used to it.

I have played 5 games or so on the next gen 2k. Love love love the game. Probably my favorite 2k so far. They did put more effort into it than maddens next gen which I really appreciate. Love where it's going.

I was into my 2nd or 3rd game and started to realize I was missing a lot of 3's. I went 2/20 one game and I have NEVER done that before. Never in all the years I have been playing. Something was definitely off. Found this thread and it makes sense now ..they changed it, and I mean really made it green or no make. I have made 3's in the games I've played with no green release but it's not like other 2k's where I would be making a lot more.

As far as the new mechanic...I feel like its a total mess. Your doing a lot just to shoot a ball into a hoop.

Recently I took off the shot meter. I just try to let go of the x button when my player is at the top of their jump shot. Seems to have improved my shooting.

I have great vision in general but it was kind of hard to see the meter as I am color blind aswell. Just paying attention to the shot release and not a colored bar has been a lot better for me.

Not sure if you guys know but on next-gen if you miss the blue window it’s an automatic miss.
