Is the feature even there? Or is it like last year where it's there but you can't select it. I'm on current gen so i don't know. Current gen start today is unplayable btw, all the rookies have no stats.

Re: NBA 2K22 Patch 1.8 Available For All Consoles - Patch Notes
Hello there.
Before playing a game you can do a SAVE AS in a new slot and then (important) exit and reload your main MyNBA save slot, because the SAVE AS puts you directly in the secondary save. Play the game. Exit, load your your secondary MyNBA, simulate the game, note if any injuries happened to your team and, if yes, exit and load your main MyNBA and apply manually. Rinse and repeat before any game.Comment

I sympathize with this in principle, but man, they gotta fix Anthony Edwards -- scan or no scan. Dude looks WACK, even for a non-scanThe scans isn’t totally up to 2K, Terrence Ross explained that they will show up with their trailer and if players want to get scanned they can.
So most likely if you’re guy isn’t scanned he probably doesn’t care to spend his time getting scanned for a video game instead of doing other things on their off time

Like, here's one of the ones you can use on PC:

...and that's obviously with no scan. I get that modders have theoretically infinite time and discretion to focus on whatever they want and that it's not cost efficient for 2K to devote major resources to artwork like this for a bunch of players (especially if they think the guy might sit for a scan at some point and save them the trouble), but Ant was a #1 pick and his troll-looking cyberface is now over a year old. They at least need to get him right, even if he dgaf enough to sit for a scan.Last edited by vetmin; 12-04-2021, 03:12 PM.Comment

So no doubt driving is easier in the latest patch. But does anyone think shooting is easier too? Namely contested shots? Before the patch, I lowered jump shot defensive strength to 25 since at standard 50 it was impossible to make shots. Since the patch it feels like I’m making too many shots, so I rose them to 30.
Anyone else feel like shooting is easier?
I also rose all my defensive sliders to 90+ like I had in 2K21. Would’ve never considered that in 2K22 before this patch.Comment

Ya but it was to hard before….. NBA players make tough shots a lot and that wasn’t happening too often before this patch

Yup, I see tough shots now, I've made a few myself since. . .

Yeah I like making the tough shots too. But now it’s a matter of recalibrating to get the sliders right. Before the patch at 25 jump shot defensive strength I was able to make some. Now I’m thinking it may be too easy at that setting. So gonna try 30 to see how that feels.
I also ROSE layup and inside shot defensive strength sliders for the first time, putting them up to 60 like I had in 2K21.
The time to make defense better via sliders in 2K22 is here. Before I was finding ways to make defense easier if anything. As long as the sliders work, I guess hopefully I can still find it competitive. But I already have defense sliders (on ball, awareness, consistency) at over 90 now so there’s no much room to go.Comment

The only solution I have found is to adjust the coach settings for the CPU team…….this is what I had Milwaukee defensive settings at and a big key is changing their defensive focus to switch all…… it creates mismatches at times but helps the wide open drives to the basket

Re: NBA 2K22 Patch 1.8 Available For All Consoles - Patch Notes
That’s a bummer. Time to start jackin up the defensive sliders. I guess 2K21 was good training as I’ll just get it to where I had it set there.
It’s annoying to have to relearn and recalibrate the game after every patch. Gameplay is actually very good now, it feels fluid and dynamic, but offense is OP and defense sucks when you manage to break said defense down, which is easy af now.
Feels nothing like the launch game.Comment

Having a lot of fun with the game now since this patch dropped. Minor slider edit: I lowered the User Speed, Lateral Quickness, and Acceleration attribute sliders to 45, while raising the CPU’s to 55. I put both user/cpu Ball Handling and Stamina to 45. Game plays excellent! You need to beat the CPU with pace & angles instead of cheesey speed.Comment

Re: NBA 2K22 Patch 1.8 Available For All Consoles - Patch Notes
Have you tried lowering ball handler speed? I did that in 21 while raising off ball speed and it worked well. Might try that now. Ball handlers (at least on user side) move way too fast. At least relative to defense.Having a lot of fun with the game now since this patch dropped. Definitely agree with this. With sliders that where almost perfect for the game pre-patch, now the FG% are higher due to this. Star player now can almost hit everything. I played against Phoenix and Paul /Booker did anything they wanted, even against good defense. So no doubt driving is easier in the latest patch. But does anyone think shooting is easier too? Re: NBA 2K22 Patch 1.8 Available For All Consoles - Patch Notes
MUST DO for this new update.
Lower all speed/acceleration with ball ratings 5 points (max at 65, min at 35). Then raise MIN speed/acceleration without ball 5 points (to 40). Seems to help some. Player speed with ball is stupid fast after the update. Might even need to lower it some more.
I haven’t rose MAX speed without ball yet as I’m not sure I need players running faster on court as much as I need guys with ball to slow down some.Comment
