Small sample sizes but I just played Sixers vs Kings on Xbox Series X and I shot 79% from the floor. Not just my stars, even my garbage minute guys were hitting almost everything. I've been shotting 45-50%.

Re: Is it me or did the CPU get WAY better
Im playing All Star difficulty now.
Matched the CPU shooting to Hof(56 all around)
Bumped Awareness+off consistency to 100
Bumped def awareness to 50
CPU to me seems to be playing better. They're even hitting contested shots. Is it possible it's HOF that's broken? It's still early in my game, ill finish and updateComment

Re: Is it me or did the CPU get WAY WORSE
Maybe it’s because my offline games are mostly one offs w/ classic or all time teams/custom rosters on default sliders….but the CPU (as of yesterday/today) definitely haven’t been pushovers

Re: Is it me or did the CPU get WAY better
There was also another update when i booted the game so who knows maybe they fixed it. Anyway here is my first qtr Pelicans vs Raptors(me) with Allstar and the slider adj from my previous post. To me they play way more aggressive, attacking lanes and reacting faster. I'm convinced the bigger green window from all star is the same for the CPU. Cause when i turn on shot feedback on HOF the cpu's timing is always off. But im no expert at this, i could be wrong.Attached FilesComment

Re: Is it me or did the CPU get WAY better
Final game 126-122 win. What i found was the CPU was way more creative and took more chances than i find on HOF. It's almost like on HOF they try to be too perfect on shot selection and end up running out of time and then take a poor shot.
FT shooting is too easy on All star i bumped it to 65 but woild probly need it higher.
The Pelicans are also a good team in my franchise so this may also be the case. But i did find the CPU to be way more creative using stepbacks, stepback fakes to drive, drawing double teams on drive and kicking out for easy 3s.
Hopefully it was simply patched out this morning and HOF plays just as good. Let me know if anyone plays a game on HOF.Attached FilesComment

Re: Is it me or did the CPU get WAY better
My game after the main menu update yesterday using 2002 Knicks(me) vs 2002 Clippers seemed ok on slightly adjusted SuperStar. I won 110-95, I shot 49% and CPU shot 44%. They did get a lot of paint points though so that could be why they shot decent.
Now when I use 83 Lakers even on HOF the game is too easy. Even when game was in its “good” state CPU averaged shooting 35% against me.
My game experience depends how good of a team I use and how good a team I oppose. It’s like ratings are too strong a factor, like the great teams/players are too great and the bad teams/players are too bad.Last edited by NYJin2011tm; 12-16-2022, 02:22 PM.Comment

Re: Is it me or did the CPU get WAY WORSE
There could definitely be some correlation there.
One of the problems with finding balance is how the game handles team chemistry. Ive known for many years now that having a high team chemistry not only makes the users team better(which it should) but also makes the cpu team play horribly(which it shouldnt).
Could partly be contributing to what we are seeimg as the games been out long enough that we are far enough into our seasons to have good chemistry built up.
I honestly kind of wish the devs would take whatever it does to make chemistry be what it is, rename it dynamic difficulty, and then do what the Show does and allow the user to lock it and that difficulty. I have the best games and the greatest challenge when my chemistry is lower.
I know what im suggesting in essence scraps the chemistry mechanic but im not sure its really worthwile when im rolling the cpu by 40 points every game cause my chemistry is full.2016 NLL Champion Saskatchewan Rush

Re: Is it me or did the CPU get WAY better
Yesterday after the update with my current sliders I was blowing out the CPU by 20-30 points. Had to increase my "CPU Offensive Consistency" from 50 to 75 to get competitive games again.
such a silly cat & mouse game ...Comment

Re: Is it me or did the CPU get WAY WORSE
I’m wondering about team chemistry in the older Eras. Because in 2002 as the Knicks I’ve made three trades and chemistry is still 100% and never went down at all. There could definitely be some correlation there.

Re: Is it me or did the CPU get WAY WORSE
Yeah its weird, it seems not to be 100% across the board, leading some to believe it was a problem with cold streaks being too pronounced or something.
My personal belief is that "something" went wrong with the fix to make custom difficulties apply properly.
I'm just hoping it is remedied now (sounds like it may be)Comment

For those already in their seasons I can definitely see what Cujo mentioned being a factor amongst
other things.
Don’t know, Hopefully it evens out soonComment

Re: Is it me or did the CPU get WAY better
I don’t know what to think. Yesterday before today’s main menu update I played one quarter of my 83 Lakers ERA on default Superstar. I was up 31-18 with CPU shooting 38%. Today after latest main menu update I continued the game. CPU scores 19 points shooting 40% in the second quarter also on default Superstar. For third quarter I upped difficulty to default HOF. CPU scored 29 points shooting 53% and cut my 20 point lead down to 8. But then in the fourth quarter the CPU shot 4-24 scoring 8 points as I won the game by 40.Comment

Re: Is it me or did the CPU get WAY better
I dunno what to think. Is it me or does it feel like it did pre patch? So far in my current game it does. But I’m just too weary to trust it. Hopefully they got us back to pre patch gameplay and they don’t tweak it anymore.Comment

Where in the community did you hear they say tweak the gameplay ?
I wish the mods would change this title got 2k thinking everything cool beans when it's the oppositeLast edited by simbayless; 12-17-2022, 10:18 AM.Comment

Re: Is it me or did the CPU get WAY better
Like I said above during the third quarter I was feeling like it was pre patch but then the fourth quarter happened. They shot 2-24 scoring eight points and I ended up winning by 40.Comment
