I am going to stream two games tonight.

A Bird/Magic era Lakers game…..then we are going to stream our first Kobe era game….a killer opening night.

Spurs at Lakers!!! That should be a beaut.

I am also dropping down to 10 minute quarters for played games and 12 minutes for simulated games to see how it looks with both minutes and stats in played games normalized to 12 minutes (simulated games).

Just testing out stuff.

I think 10 minutes is a nice spot on Pro as I don’t want inflated scores which is what I have been seeing in many many test games thus far.

But man so much good stuff.

In game Injuries work, and I am testing severity and length at 52

Progressive fatigue is beautiful and working well. This is where as a coach you need to manage your practice schedule and player development effectively as well as minutes and rotations.

I am setting scouting to auto this year and turning on storylines for all players.

I handle all my drafts, free agency etc. but I don’t mess with staffs, facilities and prices….all automated.

Man this game is so deep!!!!

Just finished watching the Bulls vs Sonics video and man that was a great game. Was wondering can you actually keep the Sonics in Seattle or will they move no matter what?

Almost positive that you can negate any changes after the season. From what I remember there’s an option to deny a lot of different scenarios like jerseys and what not.

That’s correct, you can veto any league changes between seasons. Wether that’s rules, expansions, teams moving or changing jerseys. It’s one of the very best features in my opinion.

Recently did a 20 year sim with my pistons during the Kobe era and for some reason around 2020 the historic draft classes weren’t popping up for me. Not sure if this was user error or I missed something but 2021 I made sure to pick that draft class and still only got generic players

Yep. I confirmed this. They can stay in Seattle. They were in the middle of a three peat and I kept them there. Just be careful because there is a later uniform change that can change them they will be the OKC uniforms but they will still be the Sonics.

Very well may have V1 up today for you all.

It is not a drastic departure from default Pro but it does have some very effective tweaks.

Also I am playing 11 minute quarters (simulated 12) and normalize minutes and stats to 12.

Once I vigorously test My League thru dozens of sims I will also post my personal MyLeague settings.

I am running solo team franchises on 2K23. I am finding not having to control the other teams at all. If you desire that by all means.

For me….this is all about playing multiple seasons as a coach and GM.

I don’t turn on abilities or trust or have access to facilities and pricing. I also auto scout (every draft class is going to be historical). I decided no generated storylines either. I don’t want to see Michael Jordan drafted and have a career ending injury pre determined.

If you want to turn them on by all means.

My settings are merely a guide. Not the end all.

I will employ auto scouting as well. Thru testing the AI does a nice job.

I will handle my lineups, rotations, injuries, contracts, free agency, trades, training both team and individual. So much depth in player development and managing fatigue through a long season!!

Looking forward to getting going once Clutch and MJ do their thing with rosters.

Clutch - Jordan Era (Playing as the Bulls)
MJ - Magic Bird Era (Playing as the Lakers)
Clutch or MJ both do amazing work for the Kobe Era (Playing as The Heat).

Totally understand man. Default pro actually plays a solid game as does basically all the default levels… I’ve been playing HOF but there’s still some tweaks needed to defense and movement IMO. Plus fouls can always be turned up. I’m not a fan of touching tendencies so I usually will tweak those only slightly.

It has become quite clear to me I will have three different sets for the three different era’s

Magic/Bird
Jordan
Kobe


This is a project folks…..so bear with me. I am going to do my best to provide the best playing Pro level “Average Joe” sliders I can.

The first set will be the Magic/Bird Era. Once those are locked in we will move on to the Jordan Era, then the Kobe Era.

One question, if you begin your MyLeague in the Magic Era (the first one) can you play with the same game all the years until 2022 and beyond? Or at 1983 this Era finish and you need to begin another game at Jordan Era?
I will not try this… ��
