Re: Things in 2k10 that just make you want to throw the controller

Hopefully 2k reads this thread and uses some of it to fix the annoyances in the 2k series..
"I'm so far ahead of my time, I'm bout to start another life
Look behind you, I'm bout to pass you twice
Back to the future and gotta slow up for the present
I'm fast, dudes can't get past my past
How they supposed to deal with my perfect present?"

Another one is the long drawn out contact animations. I especially hate the one where your guy shoots a shot and is obviously fouled, and then throws his arm in disgust...meanwhile your stuck in the animation and you can't go get the ball.

Autosaving, silly simulation results, the fact that you cant load anything such as sliders into association.
Gameplay-overthrowing the ball,CPU making with almost any player and a few other things.Sliders
Other than that its ok,there seems to be fixes for every problem to make them a minor one

I hate how when you get doubled in the post on the baseline, if you shoot the ball always goes behind the backboard for a turnover.

            - When a rated 50 (speed/quickness) defender can catch up to a rated 99 (speed/quickness) player.

            - Missing wide open shots especially threes with a rated 99 player. Seems like stats doesnt matter because the game wont allow you to make all open shots with a rated 99 player.

            - When you pump fake and the defender jumps you try to move away from him only to be stuck on him

            - When I go for a block and my hand goes through the ball and the cpu still makes the shot

            - When I properly defend my opponent his body can go right through mine and he still makes the layup shot

            - When you try to isolate a defender he slides all over the court and/or his buddies snaps right towards you at full acceleration. Where if I move from motionless to full speed it takes close to a full a second to reach full speed where the cpu doest have to accelerate.

            - When a ball is rolling off the tip of the rim I get called for Goaltending.

            - Player gets sucked into stupid animations in where you cant move.

            - Player moving by himself with no input from the game controller

            - When the game is within 10 points on less the CPU makes every shot. The game cheats to keep the game close.

            - When you think you have enough space for an open shot the defender can recover at the speed of light with unrealistic speed and quickness where player rating doesnt matter.

            - When a rated 40 or less opponent can make an open three

            - When your AI teammates do that stupid in the paint spin traveling animation

            - Being called for a shooting foul when my body didnt make any contact with the shooter

            - When saving the ball from going out of bounds the ball magically moves towards the opponents hands.

            - Slow movement speed when defending in the paint. Feels like the guys feet is stuck in quick sand.

            - When running for a fast break dunk right before you dunk the defender who is behind you does that jump-block animation where his body flies from behind you to infront of you. Thats clearly unrealistic. If I outrun a guy because my stats are better than his atleast reward me for this.

            - When going for a fast break when your in front of the pack if you switch hands you do that stupid behind the back animation which slows you down and allows the defenders to catch up.

            - When a small and skinny 6foot 170 pound PG can box out a huge 300+ pound center for the rebound.

            - When trying to shoot free throws when the game is running at sub 25fps which totally throws off release time (xbox version)

-In my player when trying to get back in the game its takes forever for the "Y" button to appear to skip to when you return back in the game.

            - When you get stuck in the paint to inbound the ball and you have to call timeout to clear the animation or else you would be called for a 5 second violation.

            - Sometimes when it takes forever for NBA 2k10 to load because its sending information back and forth to the 2k server.

The CPU A.I in hall of fame should be smarter, 2k needs to make the A.I tougher

The A.I sometimes just dribble and create backcourt violations without me puttin much pressure

I dunt kno if any1 else experience this but sometimes the A.I pass to their post player and they dont respond and cause 3 sec in the key

I don't know if it's the fact that I haven't played this game in months, haven't downloaded the 2nd patch, or the fact that I've been playing the other game; maybe a combination of all three, but the interior A.I defense is bad. Not only is it easy to score in the paint, but I make it a point to NEVER double team any of the players on the opposing team, and I also have help defense at 0.

What happens when I get posted up? A CPU teammate comes to "help out", leaving his man open for an easy three despite not wanting help. Does anyone know if the 2nd patch help in the area of interior defense, and your CPU teammates actually staying with their assignments. The default FG% is too high also. I'm going to need some sliders for superstar difficulty for when I play again. Don't know how I lasted on default for so long tbh.

                  This is so annoying.

And also, defense needs to be fixed or I'm just bad at it. None of my players can stop scoring, they just kinda stand there.

This is the worst, automatic double-teams.

The things that piss me off the most are:

The defensive settings not being followed... if I say never double team then why the **** are you double teaming Eddy Curry in the post and leaving wide open 3-point shooters? My *** ends up getting torched.

The CPU will just turn it on and get every single call and there is nothing you can do about it. You sniff them and they are shooting two free-throws.

Defensive rotations... they are horrendous. Not only do my players not follow my specific instructions not to double team, but when do anyway they never rotate back or rotate to someone else who is already being guarded. Leaving sharpshooters wide open.

Turn up Help Defense Strength and play off-ball when that situation occurs

I hate when I break down my man in a iso, drive, feed it to a bigman only to get stuck in a stupid slow-careful dribble animation, giving the defense just enough time to recover and redirect my supposed easy layup back to my center's face.
