Re: I'm new to 2K...The Best Camera Angle?

Mr. Jeebs gave me an education, last year, on how a camera angle can completely change the game for you.

I cant play on 2k cam, because I have a really hard time gauging space, and cutting off drive angles.

I changed to nosebleed: max height, zoomed all the way out.

It was like a whole new world.

I could cut off drive angles that I just couldnt pick up otherwise, and I saw opportunities to create space for jumpers, that my eyes just couldnt pick up.

I'll never play on anything else again.

this is so true. On broadcast i always seem to go towards the bottom of the screen because its is easier to do things with the sticks

2K cam, I find it hard to use Iso controls otherwise.

Not to mention you can see down court to see who is fastbreaking.

But if I want to "watch", it's broadcast cam.

Its been shown already. If you watch certain videos people score most of their points on one side of the floor.

I wasn't questioning where people score the basketball, I was referring the controls used in the corner in 2K Cam. To do a left to right crossover Press Down and Up on the left stick, you wouldn't do that same combo at the top of the key.

Re: I'm new to 2K...The Best Camera Angle?

broadcast cam is terrible...you find yourself doing everything from the near corner because the camera is behing the player....but if you are in the far corner, you can barely see your player and the directions are reversed because your player is facing the camera...broadcast cam is a mess from a control standpoint and it's terrible for seeing angles and space.

for you.....I have no problem controlling my player on broadcast style cameras. But if you use the 2k camera mainly, the change is a difficult one at first.

And in reference to the second part of your post, try using nosebleed or skybox. The spacing is much better on those.

Your talking about doing the moves. I think its easier on the mind/thought process (in 2k cam). You know when someone is facing you. You say "point to your left" (as you point to your left). The person is most likely point in the same direction as you. Even though you said point to your left. Know what I mean? I mean it seems like some people have trained themselves to counter act when the player is facing you. I think its too much....thinking. While in 2k cam its a natural left to right or up and down (in context to the player facing the same way as you are facing).

Very easy for me to do the iso moves using the default / broadcast cam...For a street fighter player executing the moves is not a problem at all yall 2k cam guys need to step your games up cause all im hearing is that easier to execute your moves and and its "easier " to throw your full court passes every time. Back when Live and Shootout were King on the PS before 2k was around EVERYBODY mainly played from the "side " view

I definitely feel you on that and why people like it. Some folks are just wired to think in absolute controls, just like on defense, while others process the information on the screen and act accordingly.

                          Someone please wake ^^him^^ up.

Sounds like I'm trying to communicate with a child. It seems like every valid/logical point goes right over your head.

I was going to send a PM....But I don't think your worth it at this point.

If you could come up with some postives points of playing in broadcast. I'm more than welcome to hear them. But if you just keep coming in here saying full court passes. You clearly are a child at mind.

edit: he is clearly missing the point.

Thanks for the insult but no im probably older than you....I understand YOU have to think of using that view in terms of equating that to how you would do your moves in real life but as a long time real life and video game basketball player its very simple for me to play in the side view as i have been playing since the Live , NBA shootout days and even before that the Atari where everyone mostly used side view. Really its not that hard to understand your not as skilled playing with the broadcast view i really do get it....sorry if the truth hurts

I can't tell you how many people that have been struggling playing this game. And a simple change of the camera does a major change to their overall game (especially on defense)

It depends on what system I'm playing. If I'm playing for PC I play on broadcast because for some reason when I play on PC I nitpick so much about the visuals. I want it to look as close as possible to an actual NBA broadcast.

On the console version I tend to go with 2k cam because if I'm playing online I usually do everything on one side of the court unless I'm passing the ball off to a open shooter out in the corner. Really easy to pick up on if you're someone who picks up tendencies.
