Re: I'm new to 2K...The Best Camera Angle?

I usually play broadcast. I also like nosebleed and skybox with height/zoom tweeks. I also found a new one I like: Parametric(sp?). I think I had it on height 8 zoom 1 or height 1 zoom 8 but it looked pretty cool imo. Anybody else tried Parametric(sp?)
EA and 2k have the unfortunate task of trying to balance on a tightrope of fun and sim while trying not to fall 10,000 feet to their death. Instead of a safety net waiting down below there will just be angry customers quick to move out of the way and talk of their failure.

Re: I'm new to 2K...The Best Camera Angle?

I've always preferred 2k cam, but I do broadcast from time to time, and also nosebleeds. There are probably 3 or 4 really nice views, and a couple other decent ones. I also really liked the "Broadcast Dynamic", but I think that was only available in MyPlayer. All have pros and cons, and thankfully all can be tweaked. To each his own. What would be a nice next step is to have a fully customizable camera option where you could edit height, depth/zoom, rotation, angle, etc. Users could name them, and also upload them for others.

Re: I'm new to 2K...The Best Camera Angle?

this thread has inspired me to change my camera angle after 12+ years of playing "broadcast" angles.

the only problem is, with the 2k camera view i sometimes find it hard to defend the post, or see how far the man is "in front" of me (ie. closer to the basket)

nosebleeds zoomed all the way out is the one i have been playing on the most and i think its the one view that has the LEAST blindspots (every camera angle has them)

do i just need more practice on 2k camera (ive only played it for a few games and are getting TORCHED in the paint), or is this a legitimate concern?

either way, i dont think i will ever go back to broadcast now (never ever thought that i would say that!)

Its great to see people trying it out now. Wow 12+ years lol...What took so long...lol jk

I've been so comfortable with 2k cam. That I've never tried the nosebleed cam. I have to give that a try once I get my hands on the game.

                I would live this cam:

                2K cam on offense
On defense you play the South side of the court and you see the offense come down to you. It would kinda zoom out all the way to your defensive goal after a basket made.

                I hate the cam flip

Can't you turn it off?...I remember there being a option to turn off the flip.

try using the player lock camera, its similar.

you would have to switch to the center to see the whole court though i think...

I remember showtime...I remember watching my friends play on it. It looked way better to watch. I mean the way the camera moved was very nice.

I use broadcast or showtime...I think i may run with showtime a lot more this year. Also with side view cameras, I find it easier to shoot the basketball than 2k view.

I always play better using the 2k cam. I can pull off the moves better and I see the floor better. I wish I could use the broadcast cam (I've been practicing with it lately) because it looks much better. It feels like I'm watching the game I'm playing. In that respect it feels more immersive because it looks like the basketball I have been watching since I was a kid.

Gotta roll with the Drive cam. I used to play on 2k all the time but the drive cam kinda rotates with the player who has the ball. The only downside is that the graphics usually suffer on cams other than broadcast.

The last few years this has been true, but with NBA2k11 I haven't seen any slowdown using 2k cam.
