Re: High Layups are in for the PS3!
Ya, I put him on ignore a while ago, cleaned up my forums quite a bit as the dude senselessly bickers on every topic daily, picking arguments with people.
On topic - Either the programmers don't have the skill, didn't care about it, or improperly received delegation from a producer. But this is just not acceptable. To cowardly wait until people bought the game in order to find this out.
I'm really happy I canceled my PS3 pre-order, I had a sense this would be like last year. A ream of problems to fix and a patch that wont come for months and might make the game worse.
It's a shame, so much hype and build up, but at the basic programming is just not up-to-par with the huge creative aspirations.
And remember, they knew about this, there's no way you play this game 10 hours a day for the last 3 months and not notice the PS3 version.Last edited by michaeljordanjr; 10-05-2010, 09:47 PM.Comment

Re: High Layups are in for the PS3!
It's not horrible. It's actually a great game. But to me (and I'll re-iterate this again), to my eyes this takes away the realism of the game. Not to mention I feel gameplay is affected as well. Not much, but it's there.Comment

Re: High Layups are in for the PS3!
I feel that we PS3 users should have the superior version or at least something as good as the 360 version. Look at Burnout Paradise, the PS3 was used as the lead platform and it was the superior version. If 2k just worked harder and used the PS3 as the lead platform. We would not have this problem, instead of taking the easy way and using the 360 as the lead platform. We would have a game that is equally good for both platforms.Comment

Re: High Layups are in for the PS3!
Man, I gave up the PC version today and planning to buy a PS3 soon. I'm not gonna buy a 360 (have my reasons), so I do hope the PS3 version is good. To me, running the game at max setting (always had to run it at medium settings on the PC), is a BIG upgrade, but I do hope to be impressed by the PS3 version other than that.My Specs:

Man if you have the 360 then I strongly suggest you buy that first but if you are after free online play then I guess you should buy the ps3 first.Man, I gave up the PC version today and planning to buy a PS3 soon. Re: High Layups are in for the PS3!
I don't have a 360 and not going to buy one. I'm not really into online play, I'm into running the game at max settings (like I couldn't do with my PC and will be able to do with the PS3). I'm just hoping to have a great basektball game. It will be the first PS3 game I'll buy (you may say that for now I'm buying a PS3 for 2K11), so I do want to have a good product. My Specs:

Re: High Layups are in for the PS3!
Can you atleast confirm that its as high as the demo? Cause if it is then it is indeed high for layups and banked jump shots.Comment

Re: High Layups are in for the PS3!
learn the difference between a typo and cryin like a baby."high layups in den ps3 demo"? What "high layups in den ps3 demo"? You mean the demo? You can write like that, and you called me the one writing like a 15 year-old? Thanks for the
, bud. But yes, good question. It wasn't in the PS3 demo, either. Which is why when I saw it in the retail version, I was shocked and angry (as you can tell from this thread).
But as you wish, you can choose to ignore it until your pre-order arrives.DaWu wins the PS3 Cover Artist of they Year award!

We can definitely play sometimes. When I have a PS3 you'll probably know about it, and let me know when you have it. We'll see...My Specs:

Re: High Layups are in for the PS3!
I realize most of you couldn't and/or wouldn't do this, but if I had known of the game being this inferior to the 360, I would rather buy each of my kids used 360s and buy the 360 version instead. I can't really afford to do it, but I would do it because my kids and I are that much hardcore about basketball games (2K in particular). I already a 360 and the game for it, so I would only need to but 2 used 360s. Instead, I'm now stuck with what I feel is 3 copies of an inferior product.Comment
