      All good points on here!

and yeah most people dont care about the women's professional basketball. There was another women's league a few years back and they went out of money and the WNBA isn't doing so well either.

and on top of that, 2k would have to have to hire extra people to animate and have a whole new skeleton system and movement system because women aren't built like men.

Of course if the game is released, they wouldn't allow nba vs. wnb and there would be a mass of people complaining about that! I only see headaches for 2k. No one seems to think about the logistics about anything, they just post and say, "Man that would be soo coooool and how hard would it be for 2k anyway!"

The Wnba can barely stand as a company because of its weak following, and you believe that its worth replicating in a game?

I wouldn't mind if they do, but that won't happen. When you want to include a league or players, it has to give a plus to the game, and WNBA players aren't even caliber of college basketball, so I don't think they should be in the game.

EA added CHL players to the game since there wasn't a Junior/College hockey game, and the guys that play in CHL will make it to the big league on a ratio of 10 to 15 %. So, that addition was making sense.

It's just like woman hockey in that case. The quality of play is anywhere near some of the minor leagues of the same sports, so my guess is that we won't see WNBA teams in there.

It would make sense too if there was money to make, but like others said, I don't see how you could have more sell of a game when the real game isn't doing it anyway.

NCAA March Madness 2001, I know this because I still play it today. There's just something about that game(probably the coaching mode, where you move up the ranks with your coach, which later became big in the 2k college hoops series).

Also to be technical CHL players are considered pros as they do receive contracts and compensation for playing. That's why we see their names in the game and not just numbers like NCAA.

Because the entire WNBA is a joke...and while some of it is the players' fault, as it is not exciting, a lot of it is the coaches' fault, and the announcers. They always get the worst announcers possible, and then they mic the coaches. And when you hear the coaches talk, you realize that you know way more than them about basketball. You can see the plays they draw up, and they are usually terrible plays.

I do enjoy watching women's college bball tho, especially UConn. They play basketball the perfect way.
I will always, always be a Jets fan. But trust me it hurts.

Last years finals between Indiana and Phoenix had the highest rating of any WNBA finals. I know at Indiana the games were packed. But I understand what others are saying there is not a lot of WNBA fans, not sure why other than the fact you don't see dunking. What you do see is a great game of basketball fundamentals. If people don't think its not physical enough they should watch the Fever play those girls get rough. Last year them and Detroit met in the Playoffs when Rick Mahorn was coaching Detroit and it reminded me of NBA.

I don't understand why we compare women to men on basketball, then use men's basketball as the standard. They are women. Do we use women's basketball as the standard for men's basketball? No.

Finally, I don't believe the WNBA's goal is to eventually play like men. I believe they are a sport for women to play basketball.

That said, I think we need a WNBA game. It would be fun to play. I also think that young women would really play it.
When the game is on the line, winners want the ball.

Alot of us like to play sports games on par with the real sports season. Madden for NFL season, 2K for NBA season, ect., ect. I don't really like baseball and besides baseball in the summer the WNBA season is underway. So instead of abandoning my NBA 2K video game after NBA season is over I might just pop 2K in and play some WNBA games and after a few games of the WNBA it might just bring me back to playing 2K. LOL.

It might be a good idea and 2K might gain some more female customers. I know somewhere out there that there's gotta be some little girl who is hoping somebody makes a WNBA game but reality is it won't sell as a stand alone game. Let's grant these girls their wishes and add them to the game. I am not a WNBA fan but after watching my hometown team capture their 2nd WNBA title this past summer it struck me that why haven't their been a WNBA game out there. Then reality hit me: Beacuse it won't sell.

Only problem I see why this will never happen is because men and women from both leagues moves and shoots differently and I don't know if the current 2K engine is capable of switching up different styles of how men and women moves on the court, jump, shoot, steal, ect.
If no one is willing to buy a ticket to a WNBA game, turn their radios on to listen to it, or even watch it on television....then no one is going to want to play it in a video game.

Waste of space...........That is why it will never happen. The same reason EA took out div2 and div3 schools out of their college football games, not enough people used them. Putting WNBA into a 2K game would be the same thing. Nobody would use them.
