So, maybe there IS a way to get technicals in 2K12?

There used to be a baseball game...can't remember which one it was now where if an umpire made a bang bang call you would have the option to send out the manager to argue the call. I don't want to say that there were different levels of arguing but I do know that your manager could get tossed. I thought that was cool. I also thing they need to implement flagrant fouls in the game because some of these fous are flagrant LOL!"Dunks are tough, but when a 35 footer come rainin out the sky...it'll wire you up" -

Yeah that game was mlb 2k6 or 7. There was like a meter or something and you mashed X button. I would love for something like that to be in 2k12There used to be a baseball game...can't remember which one it was now where if an umpire made a bang bang call you would have the option to send out the manager to argue the call. MVP Baseball 2005. It was a very awesome feature and well implemented. You could complain on any call by pressing the select button, and tap another button several times while the manager was walking out to set the level of emotion. If you got kicked out, you no longer had control over your substitutions. It wasn't just cosmetic, since it could give your team a slight momentum boost.
I think this would be a great idea for having a coach argue and get T'd up/ejected, or hype up his team for a momentum boost. If he got ejected, you could no longer control subs and timeouts.Comment

I could see it now, it's game 7 of the Finals Lakers - Bulls, Pau Gasol banks a fadeaway jumper in the post.
All of a sudden a box comes up, "You have been assessed a Technical foul" and Kobe's goes to the line to shoot FT's.... Oh they always make that shot, cheating @#$% computer.
All of a sudden another box comes up " Derrick Rose has been ejected from the game.WTF?!
At this moment, Carlos Boozer takes the ball from Kobe and kicks it into the stands. A box comes up stating Boozer is suspended for 3 games.Out of all the players on the court, why'd they choose my best player? This some Bull...
*drops controller*
PS3 gets turned off...
However even in good humor, I still like this idea... they would really need to work on the finer things with it to make it work well though.Last edited by lilbiggio; 05-04-2011, 09:28 AM.Comment

lmaooooooooooo, that was freaking awsome lilbiggio... anyway, this should be in the game since they are always trying to make it feel as authentic as possible... and believe me there is a way to do it, just have a bad call that prompts an animation of the player running to the ref and waving his hands around like a chicken on LSD then have the commentary team say something like "he should be careful here the ref might give him a tech" then ala mlb 2k6 or 7 you can press a button that decides whether you back off or not.... they can do this without us hearing what the player is actually saying to the refComment

Now seriously speaking. I think this is out of 2K's ballpark. The NBA simply doesn't allow (and never has) their official licensed video games to have technical fouls and "violence".Only respectable people deserve respect, you destroyed the game.Comment
