So now free agency is over and i have every big name still in there and only guys that where offered their team option signed.I can go back and sign the players to which ever team i want but that completely takes the fun out of the whole thing.I wanted the guys to select for themselves that was suppose to be the cool part of doin all 30.Am i missin somethin here guys?Surely there is gotta be a way to advance past the "players offered" part without it advancin a day each time.ANYONE?
I noticed that last night, I think the whole FA interface is clunky, I dint know why they changed it from last year.

Last year I could check my team needs, roster, and even look at the offers players are getting...You can't do any of that now...

But I think there is a way to get back into FA without advancing a day...I was so confused in the FA interface that I was pressing random buttons lol

Re: Some info for those of you that like to go deep into your Association.....

Ok, about not having mostly every player on your roster play in all 82 games...

        It it includes:

        -Control of all 30 teams

-Player roles On and roster make up consist of 5 "starter", 1 "sixth man" and 4 "role players", the rest set to "bench"

-Set teams bench depth to 100 in the coach profiles (100 seems like it means less, not surprise that a slider is backwards..)

-raise injury rate and severity to 100 (may want to adjust for played games)

Now more injuries will happen and some players may have to get put on the IR or placed deep on the depth chart with zero'd out minutes manually because the game still generates more "Allen Iverson injuries" than making guys set out for a game or two...

During sims, the 11th and 12th man will DNP in some games while other games they will play 1 minute (its like the game is hardcode for those guys to play or something)

You can always sim with hoop caster (sim to the fourth quarter and sim to dead ball during the fourth to see if a bench warmer whose set to 0 gets in the game) to monitor the garbage time in the fourth quarter if this cosmetic problem grinds your gears.

Using this method, (especially in hoop caster) fouls weren't a problem and starters played very close to the minutes I set for them.

I also should acknowledge the effort for 2k for trying to get players to set out for injuries because this year (unlike last) when a player is injured the game try to automatically give them 0 minutes but since rotations are mess up for the AI, the player still play off the bench, basically the "starting in every game syndrome" is over now its the "play in every game disease". This is with the maxed out injury sliders tho..

Nope, there is no way to switch between users during FA without advancing a day....

This has to be fix !

Smh until then, we have to set player contracts to auto for the CPU and hope they don't stack positions and do anything else that doesn't make any lick of sense..

It's a bummer tho Because the AI doesn't have any sense of managing money and will over pay players with max contracts lol

Re: Some info for those of you that like to go deep into your Association.....

If this FA issue is not resolved with the patch, I will absolutely not purchase this game. The whole point of 30 team control is to be able to control as much of the 30 teams as you want. I make the choice, because I'm ultra-picky about realism, to make all the trades and contract decisions for all 30 teams for the first 4 or 5 years of my association (then I get bored and just start simming some of it).

Reading some of the issues that are in this game that somehow either weren't noticed by the developers or simply ignored boggles my mind. It honestly shows a blatant disrespect for their customers. I've purchased every 2k since 2006 (before that I had purchased every NBA live back to the mid 80s when it was on PC as Jordan vs. Bird and Dr. J. vs. Bird, yes i'm old) but with the lack of attention to important details and them choosing to add new features without fixing or improving a single thing in association, I think I just might pass this year. I'll keep reading the boards here to see if the patches might help, but very disappointed. Might be time to pick up NHL 12 instead.

there isn't a single player right now with a 99 rating though

only the future legend type players should be able to hit a rating of 95 and above

guys like oj mayo should never have a rating of 90+, but with 2k progressions he will

trade logic sucks too. you can trade 2 second rounders for a lottery pick. game doesnt recognize the value of high draft picks

The value of draft pick is totally wrong!!!!
Here is my opinion, It has a huge bug in the offline Association Mode, That is the value of The First Round Pick and the Second Round Pick HAS Reverse!!!!!

that is to say, I can
Easily trade a Second Round Pick for a First Round Pick from other Team, BUT I CAN NOT TRADE A First Round pick for a Second Round Pick , I can not understand at all, caues the value of 1st ROUND PICK >> 2nd ROUND PICK
the value of them is wrong!!!just reverse!!!

Thanks for the love serra. I actually remember you from last year. I'm putting the first fictional draft class online tonight. Gamertag is Nsuplaya84. And as far as your second question.... excuse my ignorance but I'm not exactly sure how to do that but I would be more than happy to if someone could instruct me on how to do it.

A couple of things I do want to say before I upload the first class though....
                            - These are fictional draft classes. I'm good with making fictional characters but I suck at making real players actually look like their real life counterparts. Because of that, I will leave that to others who are better in that area.

                            - My draft classes are compatible with the default roster but they are better suited for rosters that have lower potential across the board. I lowered some myself but I believe that Nogster is lowering potential and making some roster tweaks also. I know he always has good work so you might want to download his roster when he finishes.

                            - For those who may be interested in my draft classes but have never used them before, do not be alarmed if you see a weak draft or one that is heavy in one position. I like to throw variety in there just like real life. I will be uploading other draft classes very soon and you'll notice a lot of differences in there.

Touching up the first draft class now and uploading in a few minutes.
