Re: [Offline MyCareer 99 OVR Tutorial]

I play mostly association so I have 100k saved up. I can start many off-line careers with 100k SP and enjoy the mode, this would be the easiest way to do it.
However if you want everything unlock and don't have much VC you have to do as I said in the tutorial:
    Start the career
    Get drafted
    Go off-line
    Delete the patch
Try spend all the SP on your player while off-line(the ideal is to have near 0 SP)
Play a game and quit while you are still subbed in with 0:14 left in the 4th (don't exit the game just quit the match)
Repeat until you have negative SP, when you do so buy all the upgrades and dunk pakages, save then exit the game
    Go on-line, update and enjoy.

I've done it 3-4 times after the patch, you just gotta keep quiting games until it works, its even referenced in the 2k official patch notes, you just have to delete the patch and keep trying.

To get everything unlocked you need about 250-260k SP, and you can spend the VC on the clothing store it works for off-line careers.

If you connect to the internet using an Ethernet cable, simply just unplug it. If you connect to the internet wirelessly, go to Settings>Network Settings>Internet Connection and select Disable. This will do the trick, whether you have a Wired or Wireless connection to the internet.

After that, just simply delete the two NBA 2K13 Game Data files and start up the game without internet.

I've tried doing this time and time again with an offline SF, because speed is expensive and I want to rip by hair out everytime I have to buy it and nothing works.

I just noticed Horizon has a 2K13 Editor. You can change skill points and fans. About to try it offline now.

Unfortunately that only works for XBOX.

It's useless. Changing your amount of fans works but SP always goes back to zero. Hilarious.

I have exactly 0SP with a new SF and nothing works. Messing up badly and quitting the game gives me 0SP. Playing a game normally and quitting with 0:14 left also gives me 0SP. I deleted the patch and nothing.

@other: maybe you didn't delete the patch.

Did you get a dynamic goal during the game ? I think that you must complete one, and you cant have that many bad grades. You should have b+ and 1-2 turnouvers/ shots. The trick is making the game beleave that you would gain sp, so they can deduct the bad actions.
Just play a good game, get a dynamic goal,on the 4th do 1-2 bad shots and quit with about 14s.

Unfortunately no, I didn't have a dynamic goal, the one I had was the "Bring your team within 5 points" which I failed because we were losing by 15 when the 0:14 rolled. I was subbed in and I had I think was B teammate grade. I had a bunch of milestones though.

I'll try again later or tomorrow.

I also think you need to be winning the game.

Finally got it working. The Dynamic goal is what does the trick. My stats were horrible, but I reduced the gap, then got subbed out. Quit with 12 seconds left and got negative SP.

I am SOOO trying this when I get home. Thanks guys! I am having a hell of a time with getting SP and this will help dramatically. Might actually start a PG now...or maybe I will just do a Bigman since I do love them....hmm maybe a SF since they can be 7'0 and can still be Athletic and fun to play with...but then again a Bigman who can dunk, dribble and shoot would be nice too. :P
Won't change my sig until the Seattle Seahawks win the Super Bowl...wait, that happened ! Let's win another one! Go Hawks!!

There are some ways to enjoy MC with different positions off-line without having to worry about FARMING.

The quicker way is if you have 80k vc like I do, every time I create an off-line MC I get 80k sp without loosing a single VC (80k is enough to get 90+ and some decent sig. skills).

As far as equipment goes you can still buy it with VC from the store and equip it there like you would do in a on-line MC.

Warning:The second method is a bit more advanced, and should be done carefully(I'll tell you how to do with the ps3 version).

So you start an off-line MC (SP only don't forget) with rosters and game updated, play the rookie showcase and get drafted. Then you need to set your system offline (no internet connection) and remove the patch (Warning as far as I know you will loose your shoes that I noticed but you might loose a bit more, pending confirmation, and will have to re-download allstar weekend).

To remove the patch (on ps3) you go to Game utility data and remove both Nba 2k13 Additional Data and Nba 2k13. Then you start the game go to your MC and spend ALL SP on updates, so you have close to zero before playing the game.
Then you need to successfully do a dynamic goal, have some turnovers/1-2 bad shot selections and with about 0:14 or less left in the 4th quit the game (don't quit and save, really quit).
If this works you should now have MINUS SP (like -18 or -100) and you can upgrade everything you want.
When you're finished updating your player stats/animation, quit the game, turn the internet on,update de game and voila you should now have a beast with everything you wanted and 0 SP.

Disclaimer: I didn't find out this out by myself I got the idea from reading OS and other 2k forums, just trying to help people like me who like to experiment MC with several positions/playstyles.

Does this work on 2k14? I just lost 70 vc on my all around point guard. File got corrupted. It took a while to save that much vc, but my freaking files continue to get corrupted
