Re: Encrypted message from Ronnie2K, what does it mean?
I agree. Think its either going to be the Path To Greatness mode Marvinoida came up with or crew. 2k isnt going to go through all this just to add a player into the game and deffintly not a coach mode.
IMO Crew mode and Path To Greatness help to increase sales while adding a player or a coaching mode would have little affect.
I still think the simpler the idea the better because IKC was the creator of this code and I really doubt that he went as deep as some of you are going.Comment

Re: Encrypted message from Ronnie2K, what does it mean?
But since you are speaking of gameplay were you here for the blocking system news.Don't you cats ever give it a rest? You don't even know what the announcements going to be. For all you know, it will be gameplay related. But since you are speaking of gameplay were you here for the blocking system news. All that happened after that was criticizing. But that CERATINLY was all about gameplay. In fact, it was the most talked about gameplay issue of 2k13! So how do you think a rebounding announcement will go over?
And whining about marketing "gimmicks" is, frankly, stupid. That's their JOB! Just like EA and their buzzwords. You have a marketing department. And you have a development department - the people that actually make the game. Just because marketing is doing one thing doesn't reflect on what development people are doing.
As for this announcement, apparently, it made the Team Up guys happy. So it MUST have been something "some fans really wanted to see".
Yes i was here personally(u realize i'm not talking for the whole sim community right?Just a personal opinion). And you know what?I aplauded that move, even if it comes off as overpowered,i believe it's a move in the right direction.
So how do you think a rebounding announcement will go over?
Personally?I'd be over the moon...I'm not criticizing implentation of features even if they slightly go not as planned.I'm criticizing the decision making. For example giving priority to the casual user with features overload, rather than making an effort for a balanced approach to a simulation basketball game.
And whining about marketing "gimmicks" is, frankly, stupid. That's their JOB! Just like EA and their buzzwords
The whining might be stupid, the warning signs are not.Actually you gave your own answer. When a product that usually delivers has to be marketed in ways that EA would approve ,it raises red flags.
Remember ,EA eventually went the marketing route.Big buzzwords, costly campaigns, unseen technology and innovations ...well it cost them 2 yrs of not delivering a basketball game.
But when 2k ,a company that used to play it low, focused on gameplay and was coming up as the humble, down to earth force to take over, is now reverting to riddles and puzzles every now and then ,to keep the fan base occupied and excited about a game months from release, it somehow makes me think that the decision making people have given the green light for compromise.
Actually that route is connected in my mind like this:Viral marketing campaign(and pretty clever at that also)->Focus on stars(Lebron) and their own game mode->Focus on myplayer and new ways to convince people to buy vc->Neglect other game modes that are not casual friendly->Eventually make it easier for the cheese crowds.
So yes maybe i'm stupid for making this connection ,but consider the message for a while and disregard the messenger.
Or as Public Enemy would say:

Re: Encrypted message from Ronnie2K, what does it mean?
Y'all got it twisted.. Peep this
3 R 3 3 5.
3 R's in the name Larry Silverstien (owner of the One Word Tower, formerly known as the World Trade Center)
3 x the 3 R's = 9
3 + 3 + 5 = 11
9/11 World Trade Center Terrorist Attack.
Weird right?
Now this is where it gets real ..
the 9th letter in the alphabet is i
11 looks like two lower case L's "ll"
turn a 3 clockwise cut it in half and it looks like a u
turn a 3 counter-clockwise it looks like a m
Again, 9th letter in the alphabet is an i
turn a 3 counter-clockwise it looks like a cursive n
A is just an a
T is just a t
Again, 9th letter in the alphabet is 9
spells ...
I l l u m i n a t i
This has nothing to do with CREWS or the Zen Master or even NBA 2k14 .. its obviously Illuminati symbolism
yall need to chill, its not even that serious its a videogame lmfao
