    Re: VERY REALISTIC SLIDERS

I have played 3 complete games using 12 minutes sliders plus roster set by Lilplaya2567.
I have experienced that in every game the score are too high both for me and the CPU.
One quarter is always over 40 points for me and the CPU.
    Do you experience the same?
    Let me know!

Why are the "Pick" sliders up so high?

How'd you test that? And what were your conclusions?
      Concrete evidence/videos please

            yes.
            ______________

i just put in these sliders for a human vs human game, although i lowered my speed. cavs - nets was 116-103, a bit too high in scoring, but still possible. impossible though was 56% vs 54% scoring for the entire game, %55 vs 70% (!!!) during halftime.

it seemd way too easy to dunk/get layups with these sliders.

i'm upping def. awareness again, think that'll help since dunk/layup/shooting sliders really didnt differ much from what i had before.

I will tell you guys something I play with the game speed at 65 and the plar speed at 23. With the speed set this way the pace is real time the stats and points per quarter are accurate. The players when not using turbo do not run at blazin fast speeds with the game speed at 30 its very very slow try it this way and you will see what im talking about

So I'm guessing this would help the fastbreak problem then?

i dont see the point of sliders. Anybody can have a breakout game. thats what is so great about the nba!! anybody can win. heck, one day you might see the grizzlies beat the spurs by 40. ya never know. i just play on hall of fame. even though i might still shoot 60 to 70 percent, i really dont care. I make those percentages because i take smart shots. i dont sit back at the arch trying to shoot in peoples eye. just play the game.

I think the sliders are good, but the fatigue rate for a 12 minute game is a little off. I had guys be in the game's first half all but a minute or two. I get real team stats if i don't over play the passing lane. One thing i still can't get is the way to stop the computer team from fast breaking off a missed shot. I just seems like the computer team has a guy or two that sand bags on D to get the long lob for a open layup or dunk. If I try contest it I get a foul called on me.

                          Re: VERY REALISTIC SLIDERS

I played a game with these sliders and I don't think they will produce a realistic game, though I will probably try a couple more games before I make my final judgement. I played as the Spurs vs Mavericks and lost 119-95. I started the game up 17-4 and they went 1-9 from the field. I think their FG% was around 25% in the 1st qtr, but they didn't shoot less than 60% the rest of the game. They finished around 55% to my 45%. I must add that I play with all fouls at 100, except shooting fouls which are set to 80, and this was with 9 minute qtrs. I shot 35 FT to their 30, so this needs to be adjusted on my part, as the average NBA game has either team shoot between 20-25 FT per/g. Game speed was set as recommended but player speed was reduced to 40 to reduce the "arcade" feel it had with such a high player speed. I think collision sensitivity needs to be bumped up slightly because penetration from both teams point guards seemed to happen with relative ease. Decent sliders overall but just like any slider setting you have to tweak them to your own personal style of play.

                            Re: VERY REALISTIC SLIDERS

One more game played, this one Spurs vs Cavs. Final: Spurs 102 Cavs 82. I shot 54% to their 42%, both teams made 2 3pt FGs. They were 2/17 I was 2/9. Both teams shot 20 FTs. The game had a little more realistic feel, but the 3pt shooting has to be increased I think, since both teams missed a lot of open looks. This game had the collision sensitivity set to 53, all fouls at 100 except shooting fouls, which was at 75, and commit fouls tendency was at 89 for human and 99 for cpu. A little more tweaking and it should be just right. During the season the spurs averaged 99.8 ppg and gave up around 91, so thats my goal. We'll see...
