The graphics on Live are sick. My only problem and thats the 4 way shadow. I've never seen one in real life, at least on an NBA basketball court.
I picked up Live and 2k7 for 140. That hurt. I then went home turned on the HDTV and started playing Live. Me and my bro were amazed. We started with the 3pt contest. Nice. We couldn't figure out the new freestyle but we then played the game head-to-head. I smashed my brother. K. Brown had something like 25 points at the end of the game and was the player of the game.
First off the K stands for Kwame. And if you are reading this post then you know something is seriously wrong with that picture. My bro played with the Nuggets and me the Lakers. My default level is hard using the xbox 360 profile so this was no rookie setup.
After the beat down we switched games. Needless to say we were impressed. We found our selves watching the timeouts and looking for players checking in to go sub someone on the floor. Heck even during the freethrows guys walked around and reshuffled on the blocks. Now I get to the game play. Player of the game Lamar Odem. Half time stinker Kobe. Carmelo was lighing it up. The end score Nuggets by 1.
I truely believe live has smarter teammates. If I am controlling the Point Guard and try to conver the incorrect player, lets say the small forward. The computer guy will go pick up the man I am suppose to cover(NICE). But thats where the fun ends. Its entirely to easy to dunk. I mean every single play you can dunk. You won't make them all. Hardly, you end up missing dunk after dunk after open dunk. I did'nt like last years 2k because non superstars could not make a layup or a 2 ft jump show(layup). Well thats what live does to help stop the dunk fest.
2k on the other hand had seemed to entice you into shooting open jumpers. Why you may ask? Because the role players made shots they should make. Live could be really good if simply pressing the dunk button (X) or shaking the dunk stick near the basket didn't endup with a thunderous boom followed by 40 of the dunks missing. Oh players don't constantly go out of bounds because the view of the side line is blocked by a few players. The masskots, thats what Rockie really does (Let me stop)
Sorry EA but Live gets a return ticket to the store and 2k gets a return ticket to my 360. I will more than likely attempt to play live a little more, but its not looking good.
