Unless there's a space issue, I think EA should consider having two Academy options

One option for the practice gym we have now, and one option for the futuristic gym they had in Live 06 when they first used it. I preferred the latter, and was upset when they changed it. Pleasing everyone couldn't hurt, now could it?

You could even have unlockable Academies like the one from Live 08, or maybe the ability to play in your team's empty arena or being able to change the look of certain gyms (like the color scheme in the futuristic gym).

Just something I'd want in the game
