Uhhh... No. You must've heard someone else say this. Link please. If you're going to quote someone, don't misquote it like MSNBC. First off you forgot to type the fact that he was asked a series of hypothetical questions by the reporters, and one of them was about how you'd feel to finally make it to the second round. He replied about it feeling great. He didn't say we are already in the second round out of the blue. Give me a link if you're going to give me some real proof.

Tmac shot 33% in those final three losses. Can't blame your teammates for that.

Sure that was at the end, but before that, he was killing Detroit. I think he just got fatigued, double and triple teamed by the best defensive team in the L. Can you say the Magic would have won those games without T-Mac? I doubt it. I also think you can blame his teammates on some of it, because they were there too, and didn't produce when he needed the support again. If you don't think the team matters, ask Kobe what happened when Shaq was out. As a matter of fact, look at what the Raptors did as a team when VC went out hurt.

Just tell me why the Raptors are so special. I can't think of one reason why they are any better than the Magic when they didn't make the first round, and by the way, he did get it. He got a chance to go home and play, and for more money, and actually was supposed to be a compliment player for Grant Hill, and although Hill stayed hurt, he improved every year, and still is, and at least he has the sense to know to condition his body for the season so he can run the show he's in.

            1. A smart player would have avoided giving ANY fuel to the other team, even if the question was hypothetical. When asked about going to the second, you ALWAYS say "That's a long way to go. We still have another win to get, and Detroit has nothing to lose". Bottom line, McGrady's dumb comments hurt the Magic

            2. VC's tendency to shy away from the individual spotlight is not a sign of classiness. It's a totally different issue. Has nothing to do with class.

            3. Had Tmac stayed, you can't deny a trio of VC, Tmac and AD would have been very special. I can't blame him for going home- its up to him (by the way- Toronto would have given him the max too)

he still takes his 5'10" 155 pound body and plays his *** off every game, getting bumped and bruised by the big guys...whether it be a broken shooting hand, ligament damage, deeply bruised hip and tailbone, he still plays. yeah Vincentia got a bad injury but it wasn't bad enough that he couldn't play. and he was coming up lame. then on top of having no heart and no leadership skills...he goes out of his way to take a crack at the team's #4 pick in the draft this year. so now he's a heartless, no balls-having whiny punk who needs Charles Oakley to spank his *** in order for him to wake up.

Seriously dude, I love AI...I'd take him anyday over Carter. But still, I gotta stick up for VC. He takes WAY too much critisism. In his case, the media wanted to create a bad guy and they won't let up. Overall, yeah, he's much softer than Iverson...but he's still got some heart. He showed it when he was healthy enough to lead his team in the playoffs- As a Philly fan, I thought you would have some respect for his performance in that series. Anyways, I would expect pretty great things from him this year.
