As for the Jumpstop you just hit the triangle and he goes into the animation and you have the choice of going into a Jumper by pressing O, going into a layup/dunk/runner by pressing the Square, or passing by pressing X... It is a very very usefull tool in winning, it is definately not a gimmick..

That's awesome rawdog, thanks for the quick answers. After reading your post earlier today i can't get it out of my head, there is so much that sounds good about this game I can't wait to try it.

More questions:

Did you notice any new jumpshot animations, or does everyone shoot that pefect Ray Allen J all the time?

Also, last year the take-charge button on D was ridiculously effective when you got good at using it (pissed me off to no end playing online the few times I did). Is it still as powerful this year?

Are the fastbreaks toned down a little bit? I liked them in 2003 but every single team would run and gun like the Mavs...

On D can you pick off passes? I couldn't do it in Live 2003, and when my teammates did it they would somehow grab a pass when they had their back turned to the play. Please tell me this is better.....

My question is this... I know that there are now seperate dunk and shoot buttons, but if you press the dunk button when you're 12 feet away from the basket, do your players suddenly launch off and do a crazy dunk like last year? Please tell me no!

Sounds very cool. I'm definitely prepared to give this a shot this year. The battles for position and off the ball stuff sounds great.

Two questions:

1. How are the team styles? I read one VERY early preview that said every team ran it's offense through the SG...but that they'd fix this before release? Have they done this? Ie, do teams whose teams primary scorers are PF's go to them?

2. How are the arena's?
