I've been a Sega Sports guy for a long time, but the graphics on NBA2K3 were crap IMO. The shots look goofy, they run like they need to sh-t, and the dribbling moves are ********. The dunks were great, and the faces were good, but don't sh-t on Live without pointing out the sh-ttiness in NBA2k3

I won't judge the new EA and Sega Sports titles until I play them, but the graphics sucked on both last year.

How were the graphics in nba2k3 crap? You must have really bad vision.

If I went any bigger, it would not have properly fit with my equipment, so I had to optimize. I'm okay with it, but I also know what I'm missing with those five inches. :)

      Re: Live has CRAPPY graphics

ESPN's graphical textures are very nice. Probably the best I've seen in a sports game yet. However, I've always been annoyed at how disproportionate the bodies look to the heads. I think the arms are way too musuclar in most cases. Sure, Live's players do look a bit "muddy" to me but the gameplay according to most people who have played it have said it's very realistic which doesn't seem to be the route ESPN is going. I don't like ESPN's stiffness as much as I don't like Live's iceskating.

I'll be buying all of the big three but Live entices me the most so far based on the fact that it seems possible to get the most "realistic" nba experience out of it.

            Re: Live has CRAPPY graphics

In my opinion, 2K4 has Live beat in graphic textures - the faces, and other graphic details. I think Live is pretty far ahead with the animations though. While there may be certain animations in Live that aren't "humanly possible," the same can certainly be said about 2k4. But the real point is that the movement of players in Live can be identified as human movement. If I just saw the white outlines of the players in Live and in 2k4, I'd identify the shapes I saw in Live as representations of humans. I'd probably identify the shapes I saw moving in 2k4 as, either really awkward looking representations of humans, or more likely, representations of robots. I'll give the graphics to ESPN, but really now, human beings, especially athletes, just do not move the way the players in ESPN do - they look all weird. I'll admit that in Live perhaps it looks like human movement in fast-forward, but guess what - there's a speed slider this year. In the end, I don't even care - I'd go with whichever game has the most sim-authentic realistic gameplay. And of course I'll admit that I haven't played either game this year - but from all the videos I've seen, Live is looking like it's going to take that this year.

I don't see whatever movement you're talking about but there have barely been any movies on 2k4 wwhile live has 3 or 4 movies everyday. How can you judge on that?
