And turning up the shooting rating on every medium skilled player would take some time.

It gets really stupid where your lesser players cant ever hit 15 ft open jump shots. I havent played this game enough yet but i experienced this in ever other bball game that i have played!

Well first you would have to define Medium skilled player. Does he really hit the majority of his open jumpers in real life? If he did, he would'nt be a Medium skilled player.

I think these games do a good job at potraying players. (Except Last years Live) but at the end of the game/seaon, if his shooting percentage looks as if it would in real life, then they did a good job.

I don't experience this in ID 2003. At default, just about anyone left open for a jumper can hit it. If you take the 2-point slider down a notch or two, naturally you'll have them missing way more.

Is how the middle of the road guys are no good. Guys like Abdul-Wahad(spelling), Mark Jackson, Kedrick Brown, ect., cannot buy a jumper. If you turn the sliders up, the superstars don't miss. But if you turn it down, the regular guys can't hit anything.

It leads to no ball rotation in tight situations. In real life any NBA player left open is a threat. In video games they act as though anyone weaker than Mike Miller is crap.

Kind of annoying, but not enough to bother me much.

Sorry MicSoloist, but I honestly haven't seen this.

First off, I haven't adjusted any gameplay sliders.
Secondly, it's rare for guys to get WIDE open. And when they do, the majority of the time, they nail their shot.

The only difference that I've seen is that "Superstars" can nail a jumper with a hand in their face while the lesser players cannot. These "lesser" players have played just fine in my games. I've played about 7 games so far and the scoring is consistent. Average guys make their normal contributions.

i understand what you mean these cats are in the nba and should be able to knock down an open j if open from 12-16 feet and if you tweek the sliders then guys like nash, van exel, etc never miss so yeah it is and has been a basketball game issue for ever personally i would rather guys miss more then they make only centers shoot over 50% for a season in the nba and even then it's like 54or 56% so it's not that big a deal but it can get frustrating
