    Another beauty:

I hit a 3 at the buzzer to win the game and the ref steps on the court and waves for everyone to hold on, goes to the replay booth, comes back out and says the shot is no good (time had run out before I released it). I went top the Instant replay and sure enough, I still had the ball in hand with 0.0 on the clock.

    Nice touch.

Oh boy that sounds good. I saw videos where the refs went to see if the shot counted, and they said yes all the time. i was thinking that would just be a cosmetic cinema with the same result, but they actually waive off baskets?? Insane. I also saw in another post somebody mentioned that while playing against the Kings in Sac-Town, the fans were ringing their cowbells once the Kings went on a 9-0 run. Damn sweet. My copy is on a FedEx truck somewhere in Kentucky right now..... can't wait til tomorrow morning.

Another cool thing I just noticed about the Post game (I'm playing the Lake show and getting it handed to me) -

      Here's the sequence:

Shaq posts up Gasol and seals him perfectly allowing the CPU to pass to Shaq close enough to the hoop that he turns and dunks on me (Gasol).

Then I go the other way and try to run a Post up play and as soon as Gasol tries to stand in front of Shaq, Shaq bulldozes him out about 8 feet. Absolutely Classic Shaq.

So, I work it around and eventually run a pick and roll and get a mismatch with Payton on Gasol, and as soon as Pao posts up GP fronts him in the post, waving his arms in the passing lane (perfect). I pass it over the top and GP jumps and tips the ball but it lands in Pao's hands and I turn to go up for an easy dunk....

...and Malone steps over from the weak side and fouls me hard, sending me to the line for a pair.

      Man, I love this game.

Wow this game sounds tight, I'm definetly checking it out now. I've got a question since you were playing the Lakers (sorry if this has been answered), did they go to Shaq a lot? I remember Steve saying something about that in the impressions thread but I don't remember it being clarified.

Exactly - just hit the prohop button when you are spinning off and the power dribble takes you right to the hoop. Also, if you have a stronger post player and can get position, when he receieves a pass you can back down the defender for 1 'push' and just hit dunk. If you have him deep enough under the hoop yo will either dunk on him or get the foul and go to the line. Careful not to do it if the defender is outside the nocharge zone though, or you will get called for an offensive 99% of the time.

As for the cpu lakers, the went to Shaq on well over half of their possessions, but I double down on him as soon as he caught the ball every time so he generally kicked it back out. I also run a 1-3-1 trapping zone against strong post threats and manage to pick off a fair number of post entry passes that way, since I can patrol the paint myself. At the end of the game (which I lost to a replay) the score was 82-80 Lakers and Shaq had 15pts,12 boards,4 blocks (1-4 FT's haha). I would like to see him 'force' it a bit more and use his size better, but for the most part it seemed like Laker basketball. I don't know how many games I've watched where I end up screaming at the TV for them to give it to Shaq, and they go through stretches where he never gets a touch. Kills me.
