There's two different step-back moves. Back on the right stick, makes him hop back and maintain the dribble, holding away from the basket and hit the pro-hop does a back-and-to-the-right stepback that picks up the dribble.


BTW, the step back was in ID last year. One of the reasons I loved that game so...
